Supposedly this problem was known to exist since beta but all IC did was tell NVidia about it. they need to actually get into theri code adn figure out whats doing it.
You have to rembmer to win the war is women who have able control psi-tech, if anything less than that, they are no better off then TEC and TEC wouldn't kick them in the first place. Sad, Male is second-class to Advent as women are second class in TEC even women in USA are second class still treat (Though not higher or middle or rich class) today. Personl I have no problem, Advent Women who able to us psi-tech us link drone to fight men, and other reason, most men like women so they
Taking the models straight out of eve, if thats what your talking about, will not happen. First off, the models are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high poly to be in an RTS like sins. 2nd, kinda illegal to just take CCP's art and slap it into another game and call it your own mod. 3rd, you would need their permission to begin with to do that with their artwork. 4th, afaik the models format cant be accessed at the moment.
Anyway it is annoying, all to be females. I don't trust female soldiers and commanders. They ashould have been males atleast on their capital ships , or cruisers. Don't know. (I like the robot thing avatar too)
Sexist indeed... Did a girl bully you when you were little?
Missions + Time Limit =\= Diplomacy
Well... then I guess the males in the advent are needed for one purpose only.... wink wink notch notch eh govner, you know what im saying? wink wink notch notch
WTF is a notch... did you mean nod?
The females of theri race are better at the mental abilities that they use, so they compose almost all of the highest caste, and aparrent the military caste as well.
fragmented means spread apart. a frag grendade spreads shrapnel in a blast radius. You should defragment the harddrive to reorganize the data on the drive.
Heh lil Madden action there with the tablet
It's not exactly like any other RTS. Well, Hegemonia was something close, but still far . RTS games tend to have more races, (Down of War for exaple has 9), and 4x games usually has more. Would be nice to see some robotic or insect/hive, or a harvester race <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_2 src="http://images.stardock.com/smiles/Smile.gif"
Its currently impossible to whisper someone with a space in their name. The system will send a whisper to the first word in the name.
I got it working
On release day I told my fiance I'd be back in a couple months.
Fleets dont do anything for me. Infact when im trying to make one single large fleet the game will someitme , on its own, start a second fleet of newly created items.
And lol, I apologize if my views that Sins art is not "the best in the world" offends you, I truly do. Geeez, some people...
Where in my post did i type that? Please quote it for me... Im pointing out how idiotic it is for someone to say that the design of the art work is subpar as some sort of authority on the subject. I'm not defending Sins, I'm defending personal choice and preferance. EVERYTHING about art is about personal preferance. But to claim
Artistic design. That's what the nay-sayers are talking about, and I would have to agree. I don't think it's bad, not by a long shot... ships and structures look very nice... but not amazing. This is the point people are trying to make. The _game_ is amazing, and here I mean the gameplay. But the artistic design itself here is not really brilliant (and believe me, I know what I'm talking about). To put it bluntly (and I don't mean to offend anyone), the lead artist on th
Grim; that's present in all modern 3d-games. I forgot the name of it though, uses 2x, 4x, 8x and such. Once more tools are released, I'm going to see if I can make the bump look better on ships; which will make them more complex looking. Sins is designed more for lower-class computers, not ultra-modern ones. Which means that many models are low poly.
Actually its the anisotropic filtering or mip-mapping, what ever you want to call it. The 2x 4x 8x
We have reports that the latest Nvidia Beta drivers fixes the problem for some machines. We are still working with Nvidida to isolate what the exact problem is.
To clarify, supposedly its the Beta drivers for the 64bit Vista. The 32 bit Beta drivers dont fix anything, in fact they only exist to aid in Crysis' performance afaik.
I'm getting ready to do some modelling for mods and I'm just curious as to what the current frigates have and what the current Capitol ships have. I dont want to mod something that runs like poop because there are too many faces, tris, poly's , what ever you want to call it.
BTW the game auto blurs textures at angles, you get the full resolution of a texture looking dead on at it. I beleive its their texture filtering method. For instance, if your looking at the side of the ship, the top most textures will be blurred. Its to speed up game performance. When looking at a TEC Capship, wich are pretty angular, look at a side, dead on and zoomed in, youll see the textures in their full bumped and specular glory.
Funny that the two top threads at the moment are "This game is way way to fast" and "this game is way way too slow" Maybe it has been a bit unclear in marketing about what type of game this is supposed to be...expectations seem to be all over the place.
Because this games not quite at true RTS speed and not quite at true 4x
Im sorry, are you complaining about four siege frigates? I know everyones just about new to the game, but if the FOUR siege friagates were giving you such a problem then its because your still learning the game, not because the games imbalanced. Increase your planets' Population and health; get the research that lowers the damage your planetes get from bombardments, (i forgot the name), its next to the research that increases the planet's population.
Just make a map without them if you don't like them I pay people to make games, not to give me a map toolset.
You didnt pay anyone to make a game... rather you bought a game someone was nice enough to sell to you, that they spent years making
