No offense, but you are not sticking with them, why should they care about you. I would personally rather them focus on teh individuals that are sticking with them. You might say thats abit of a fanboy attitude, but so be it. Stardock does and has always gotten it right with the customers that stick with them. I will personally let the game set on my shelf before i send it for a refund. I personally think it is a fun game even in its current state. The fact that you pos
VenomWW
Mine arrived today for the Standard Edition.
" Gal Civ 2's not recent though" It is still a damn good game, and I personally like it better then Civ4. Sounds like you are looking for graphics abit and not gameplay IMHO. I just bought Eshalon 1 and 2 and I found those to be great games, even though they have old graphics, Gave me a great sense of notalgia. Oblivion, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins is great RPG's.
Looking forward to the changes, but I love the game regardless. The game IMHO was no buggier than any other games released with better reviews and as such I will continue to support Stardock and their stance on Copy Protection and their dedication to the gaming community. Keep up the good work guys and gals.
I pre-ordered back in July and have yet to recieve my boxed copy yet, I can still play from the download, but I would like to have the box soon. Anyone recieved theirs yet? Anyone not recieved theirs?
I am personally having a blast, and I rarely get a lock up or anything.
Nevermind, I just realized you hove to assign points before the "OK" button lights up. My stupidity, sorry guys.
I support Stardock 200% and my support for PCGamer just went to 0%. The CEO of Stardock is why I pre-ordered. I own a decent amount of Stardock programs and have never been disappointed, they will get the problems fixed and I know they stand behind their products. More than I can say for PCGamers AD riddled magazines.
When I get the screen that says"Your Sovreign is lvl 2" or something to that effect, the "OK" button at the bottom is greyed out and I can not proceeed. The game does not technically lock up, I just cant go any further because I cant hit "OK" to get that screen to go away. Anyone know of a fix or something I am missing?
I have this same problem on my Netbook. I can really only play old games that support 800x600. I would love to be able to play Elemental on my Netbook.
Civ 5, no thanks because of the intrusive DRM. Starcraft 2, loved it, played it, finished it in about 5 days of VERY casual play, was just wayyy to easy. SC2 had a good little story, but the single player game was just wayyy to short and the multiplayer doesnt interest me, to much of a clickfest. I still play MoM today, looking forward to Elemental, pre-ordered it over a month ago.
here here to stardock [e digicons][/e] Best company evarrrr
I just dont like the idea of downloading programs that I know nothing about to my computer, sorry guys. I tried the Postbin site but it wont let me post there, keeps erroring out for some reason. Im hoping the guys can cut and paste this into something on their end and then delete this post. Sorry agian all. There has to be an easier way to do this without having to DL a program to your drive?

I made a transport boat to leave an Island and when I arrived at the coast at the next island it gave me the option from my transport to build a city. I clicked build, the boat disappeared and a city was made in the sea, When I tried to get the units that were on the boat (they were in the city now) to step onto the land the game crashed to desktop, no error or anything, just slammed to desktop. Just thought I would report it if it has not been done already. P.S.
Awesome about the offering a boxed version on the regular copy, now I can pre-order on Impulse, even with the 10 buck shipping(which is still abit much IMHO). I will pay the 10 extra on the non-collectors version just to have the digital option also, I just would not pay the 10 bucks extra on the Collector's Edition, even though I would like to have that version, the extra 10 bucks over the extra 20 buck price is just not decent IMHO, I have the money, just have to make a statement
I was going to get the pre-order on here for the 69 bucks(mainly because it offered a boxed version with it), but they attached a 10 buck shipping and handling charge. Thats A LOT much IMHO. I was wondering if it will be offered in stores because I always like having a boxed version, weather it be Normal or Collector's editions. If it will be offered in stored then I will wait, or if Stardock kills that S&H charge I will order the collectors edition here. Sorr
"Even Steam haters will agree that Steam is better than Ubisoft's DRM. But from a business standpoint, there's no reason not to support Ubisoft games. They're not an online distributor." True about the Steam Hater's(=ME) saying that Steam is better than UBI's DRM. I won't buy UBI games from the Store/Impulse/Steam or anywhere else its sold because of their invasive DRM. It is also true that there is no reason for Impulse to not sell UBI game. But like I said, UBI is loo
Are there any mods out there that allow splash damage? Like when you blow up an enemy capital ship all the ships within a certain range/blast radius get their shields knocked out and get structural damage as well depending on the strength of the shield when it happened? I would love that type of mod or that in an expansion. That would add a whole new tactical twist to playing this game. If your cap ship is about to go you would either have to get it away from your own ships or better yet

Yup, thats the poll, sorry, never stuck around to see how it turned out, I just remembered voting in it. I guess the subject is dead then. I still think it would be a nice addition in the end, or make Gal Civ 3 have multiplayer IF they ever make a GC3. Thank you for the more in depth answer Motti.
Why? I remember that at one time on the boards before the last xpansion they were asking if we would prefer multiplayer or more stuff. Well, they put out the xpac with the "more stuff", why not release the xpac with the "multiplayer" now?
I could not think of a better addiction to this game.
Impulse is the ONLY, and I mean ONLYYYY online store I will buy from anymore. I have tried D2D and Steam and I wayyyy prefer Impulse. No freaking crap like steam has always running in the background taking up resources, and D2D pisses me off by the freaking activation codes required to install the game, and if you ever need to reinstall good luck with D2D IMHO. Impulse makes buying online simple and easy and reinstalling is a snap. Dont ever change Impulse on the game reinstallation s
I am curious about this myself, I bought Object Desktop Ultimate over a year ago (maybe 2) and reformated my comp and now can't reinstall. It keeps asking me to renew my subscription? Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention when I bought the program(for quite abit mind you), but is this a year rental thing? I was under the impression that I knew I would not get any new updates after a year, but disabling the program altogether, even though it worked fine on my XP machine? If its just a r
