While in your case this may not be the case, others could find that the sound problem they are having is due to a bad ground in their computer case. You may want to check that your power supply is rated for the amount of current you are pulling on the +12V rail. Most models on the cheaper end of the scale don't quite make it, and your PCI(E) or fans might be underpowered.

I'm using the newest NVidia WHQL drivers the 84.21, as I said: all system is fully updated with all patches and drivers. It's a bit difficult to locate but it does sound like it's the graphics card singing like a bird when using the software mouse cursor. It's the same tune over and over, a shame I don't have a mic so I could record it. Maybe it's a hidden message from space? As an ex PC builde

At the same moment I got the game started it sounded like I had a bird in my case (not cage ). I had the exact same problem when I tried the demo. Patching to version 1.1 didn't solve the problem, so I started looking around in the options and just for fun checked the Hardware mouse cursor and immediately the bird had gone, at the same second I remove the check in the box the bird is back! My system: WinXP Pro SP
