The model looks great i nert :)
Ohyes definately more than happy to buy a shirt, but when it's a competition for free shirts, i certainly won't complain.
lol... long live free t-shirts.
The model's look great major stress :) and the texture still look good despite of "black ship syndrome" lol.
Haha glad i'm not the only one waiting. And when i last checked the thread all i could think of was it could really do with a tumble weed in the background lol.
so sayith the troops at the Alamo!
And i hope the same doesn't happen to the shirts, as to the troops at the alamo though...

necrolycist, there was a thread on this forum somewhere (don't know where exactly) that someone put something ridiculous like 25'000 kols (i can't remmeber the exact number he/she put in, but it was alot of units) in the game and provided screen shots, and apparently that lowered fps alot.
I like the idea of steam, its great in theory, really is, but i have no end of troubles with getting it to sign in, it just constantly hangs in the background. Only way to get it to run is constantly restart the process every 10 minutes till i get lucky. Which is more than frustrating. But at least with stardock central, you can still play your game without it running in the background, it makes the game so much easier to run. So nice idea, but im more than happy with it on sta
That's not true :P, a couple of people went over i'm sure, i mean ijoined ya forum to try nd contribute with ideas and keep looking at ya stuff, but it all looks great btw.
Looking good eomega, im excited how all the other ships turn out as well.
Well alot of the games i've played in the past tend to be quite restrictive on LAN play. I mean gangland, my god i loved that game for multiplayer, but trying to play multiplayer was a kick in the nuts. I mean i've played games in the passed and tried to do lan matches and it just not work due to cd-keys ect. But with sins it's fine, which is great because i tend to play lan matches instead of internet.
Awesome, well done ironclad, you should be proud of that.
Not sure how do-able alot of that is atm, especially with the current tools, your probably best waiting and see if the dev's release more tools, and/or fix the hardcoded ship limit, because i'm not sure how easy it is to put in new factories at the moment either. I mean a change in the hard coded limit would make putting in plenty of ships easier and means you can play about with what ships going where etc.
Ah right, read it as like switiching (like say Age of empires upgrading to another era and it changes your units and buildings models etc) But where your tech tree advances, you can write your own one for your mod, and say you have your basic faction tecs for say up to 5 military stations (if you keep them mind you) then the you say have 3 different new techs with no prerequisites (not needing anything before them basically), that will then still on same page, but span more research for
Star Trek was NEVER about combat
Dunii if i remember correctly they said they were planning on focusing on time of the dominion war. So despite federation using combat as a last resort, they were in a war so wouldn't have much of an alternative.
Could be a good mod, tho i think it's worth pointing out, i don't think you could have the 2 stage faction plan for a game, i mean as far as i know you can just jump ship and change faction midgame ( even in scripted events) as that could effect the entirity of all your previous units and structures. But if you wanted that maybe you could instead make an extensive reserach tree? that is so damn expensive it would take mostly specialisation in one area of faction units its ineffiecent to resarch
- LAN supported multiplay. (extra high marks for this) Not that I disagree with the post but on this point, who, especially in the RTS category, has 'not' supported LAN play?
I think it's not so much the support play, but the fact its supported play with 1 copy of the game needed, rather than all of you buying your own copy and cd-key, and for this i thank IC, great feature that helped me talk my friend into getting a copy anyway (to finish our game over the
Also, it would be nice if it was possible to give your ships orders (whole fleet, per type, individual) before going into battle like 'attack these types of ships first, then these and than those.' or 'attack the weakest ships first and the strongest later.' That would certainly add some tactics (imho) and let you enjoy the battle while it's taking place.
Try grouping ships into fleets and using the shift key to stack up orders then, second you jump into the gravity well
go the downloads section on this website, then the downloads section for modifications, you should find it there.
Excuse me if this is off topic, but it seems that you have gotten further than I have. So here goes..... I have one copy of Sins and am trying to start a LAN game on two computers in my network. I am able to see and create a game on either computer, but when I try to join, I get the following error message "You don't have the files needed for this game." Any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix?
Are your games both the same version? and do you both have the
Awesome looking models, i ain't check back in a while and glad i just did, Great work and i hope you keep it up, looks great and do look forward to seeing it in action.
I don't know if alot of that is posssible, but i believe you could use special abilities to simulate the higher rate of fire or damage, or even the faster ships (the vasari cap ship's power for example) Say a ability, that raises rate of fire but decreases movement speed, not quite your idea i realise but is one way of possibly doing that.
Love the models, they look great, and i can't wait to see this mod progress, some great work guys and i hope you keep it up :)
