Too the best of my knowledge... no. ---- 1) First, its not in the habit of Stardock to leave old version of games lying around. You might get the odd pairing of versions where you could download the release version, and download a pre-release version (often called betas). To switch the views of the different versions, set the option in Impulse to download the pre-release version of programs. However, thats not what you're looking for... 2) The second problem is that Si

I don't really care to know. I've played lots of games, watched TV, and watched many movies. Much of the selection that are space based seem have Earth as some place important merely because its... well... Earth. Having Earth be saved... again, or be some place important for the n-th time will not do it for me. I'll be quite happy if the devs said that humanity has simply forgot where their pla
You guys were quick! I'm going to have to go over what I did yesterday to see if any bugs I noted were fixed.
Scuttle and salvage value of TEC space mines is now the per mine value, rather than for the entire mine cluster
I'll check this tonight. I'll let you guys know if this is still somehow b
you might use numbers instead of bullet points. makes it easier to adress them point by point
Sure, I'll edit things right now. You may wish to update your numbers afterwards. Edit: Done numbering. I however, moved a few things around so you probally want to re-number your comments. If its of any concern, anything below the starbase entry was on
[Edit] By request, I numbered the entries so it would be easier to comment on them. Because I resorted them, some comments before reply #3 may have a wrong corresponding number. I've played the beta as the TEC yesterday, and here is my feed back as them. Some of these entries are bugs, while the others are just my opinion. Starbases: A lot to say here.</s
1. Improve the preference icon from the glowing blue orb to something that implies preferences can be made there. Too many posts are resolved with "click the blue orb" because people don't find it intuitive.
Good pick Lord Reliant. With that blue orb, Impulse feels too much like microsoft office 2007. I hate those ribbons, or whatever they are called. I haven't found a way to revert back to a classic view or user interface. They didn't even consider that some of
P.S. I heard nasty a rumour recently. Could you sheed some light on this? Does Impulse allow companies to have DRM software to be installed along with the games they offer? I heard some rumours that it would be possible for companies to do so. If this is true, could we get a DRM watcher for all games and programs? I would like to get a warning if we can expect to get something like securom installed with our purchases and downloads. Removing securom (EA version)
My wishlist: To be able to see my games in details view settings (its what I normally use for my file folders). To be able to que task for impulse. I've had the need to reinstall all my games recently (replacing my C: and reinstalling windows on it) and I found the task of reinstalling multiple games quite time consuming when you have to manually tell them to install, where to install, make an archive of them, and yes to install desktop icons. To be able to

Hmm... I thought version 1.1 was the current beta. I guess read the forums wrong then. I found this after searching again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sins of a Solar Empire v1.09 (aka 1.1 beta) Changelist ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
________________ Thankyou for the assistance. I guess I had nothing to worry about then. I'll be changing the title
I'm not sure if a solution to this problem has already been found. I've searched the forums, but with no success. Let me fully explain my problem, and what I have tried to do to fix things. Using Impulse, I can only see SINS version 1.09 (or so it says). When playing with the "Show pre-release versions" option, I switch between seeing version 1.05 and 1.09. I've also tried refreshing and other stuff to try to see a new version, but with no success. My latest attempt involved uninstall
Someone I know ran into the same problem. The launcher wouldn't start the game (the game showed up in task manager doing nothing at all). After updating the graphics driver to the latest version, the game would run, but without sound. I had to update the sound driver before it too would work. Beyond that, I have no idea why it suddenly failed to work. It was working a few days before without issue.
Then, I rush my main fleet to that system (just for appearancens mind you, as it will just run away the moument I warp in). But, it did'nt run??? It fought me??!! This is the WORST glitch I've ever seen the Sins Devs do yet. So NOW, I have to fight the AI.
Is this supposed to be joke? Alright, I get it. So the AI will fight you, and punish you for not paying attention. I would do that myself if I was fighting you. This only means a bigger chanlenge for us solo
i have been playing since beta and I never knew any of this.
Well some of the features of the game did change from beta to full release, and even from update to update. Don't be too surprised that some things did change. Making resources avialable to be sold on the black market are of the ones that appeared when the game was released.
Deleted... Annoying double post
The method you are using doesn't sell stuff right away. Its a means to give you more control over how much money you get for selling a material. If you wanted to get money now, you could sell it for 1/3 the buying price instead. You should see a sell button below the buy button. Either way, you have to decide to either wait for someone to buy your resources, or to sell it now for the instant cash. Please note, its possible that a resource "Offered to other players" will not sel
The features I'm looking for is a better way to manage super weapons, and some of the odd stuff not covered, or managed well by the user interface. ---- Super weapons: If you have a bunch of them, it would be helpful to know where each one was, and where they were pointing. To be able to do the following would make them easier to use: set them to autocast or cancel it, to pick targets so the game will start turning the one of them to fire, set targets to ignore, etc. <b
Malice, as in the capital ship ability? (Need to check the name). Last time I checked, 100 points of damage would deal 25 points of damage to --> *nearby ships* <-- affected by malice. It becomes more powerful with every additional ship you can get under its influence. As such, its great for clearing out pirate bases since they tend to have a lot of pirate ships.
Email just in case.
I will. Technically, me, my brothers, and the rest of my family live in the same house hold at this time (kinda crowded) so a mailing error wouldn't cause that much problems. However you can't expect everyone who bought this game the same way I did to have the same mailing address as the person who used another's person's credit card.
I pre-ordered the game, and got the collector's edition in the mail today. You can probally guess what happened. I look at the box, read that it was from stardock. Excited like a kid at Christmas, I opened the box. I proceed to careful remove the packaging to avoid damaging the product. There nicely tucked away was a box of "Sins of a Solar Empire" -- Collector's Edition... or so it might of been had it been addressed to me!</F
...if the devs would everything we said "make it an option", the game would have literally hundreds of different toggles.
Maybe thats what we want.
I haven't been liking this game very much. I ofcourse am not a fan of multiplayer games. As I was saying. It feels like it takes too much time to finish a game. When you have effectively won, it takes a while to finish. Then again, maybe I should play some more and try to figure out how finish off the AI quicker.
I'm back. That feature didn't seem to make much of a difference. By the way, would it be to much to ask for a ship flight speed multiplier. I find the longest part of the game is how long it takes for a ship, or a fleet to arrive somewhere. If I could double the speed of all ships, I might be able to shave off maybe almost half the time needed to play. By the way, a resource multiplier would be nice to have as well.
Have you tried the 'fast' setting added in the beta 3 patch on a small map? Should help considerably in that regard.
I'll look into that. Thanks. In any case, where should I place comments for game improvement? There are a few things I would like to have tweaked, or looked at.
Divine Wrath I am more talking about whether or not the game, for beta testers atm, is repeditive after one or two games. There are classic games you keep coming back to, homeworld is one of those, and...
When did I get off-topic? And when did I mention Homeworld? Also I don't recall keep returning to classic games with my 1 post (until now) in this tread.
