[quote who="jpaa1701" reply="2378" id="2929273"] Quoting JackBauer36, reply 2377I have a problem with the diplomatic exchange of technology and AI. Shortly after it is offered to me and I accept it is canceled by the AI. My offers are not even accepted. Relationship on both sides to 20. Where is the error or my. I play with closed teams. I get the same thing, only when I offer a diplomatic pact, it is accepted, then terminated, then accepted again, over

I'd like to see that as well. I started making a map for our solar system in Galaxy Forge awhile back. I even used online resources to try and orient each planet in the spot of their orbit around the sun where they actually were at that same point in time, with a few minor changes to make phase lanes line up better. I got a good part of it done, but having all the moons appear as asteroids and such eventually made me decide to scrap it. Just didn't quite work with the limited

I've noted that it's easier to deal with the Borg if you deny them crystal and worlds, especially those with many logistic slots so their research suffers. And they need SO much crystal. Don't let them have ice worlds. And they suffer more from early well done rushes as defending against them is more costly and slows down their expansion and research. Letting them build up their empire and strength is dangerous. In the game I was playing at the time of

I finally wiped out the Borg on my game about 8 hours in. About 2 minutes after I defeated them my game stopped freezing every few seconds (even though at one time their empire was about 12-15 worlds and it ran fine) so apparently they were causing it. They were set on Normal/Research I eventually just attacked their worlds until I saw their fleet heading in to protect it, then I warped in deeper bombing their worlds one at a time while staying ahead of their fleet. This took do

I see, that sucks.. With a game that can have the scale this one does it boggles the mind that it still hasn't been updated to utilize multiple core processors which I know have been around longer than this game. In my current game, 2 stars at 90 planets the game started getting slower for me around 5-6 hours in. I finally have taken out most of the Borg. The game got really choppy around 6:52 to 7 hours in during my final push for their last few worlds. Curio

Sins refuses to use all my CPU power and I only have a 2.93Ghz dual core CPU. It usually uses 100% of CPU1 while occasionally dropping down to 50% CPU1 and 50% CPU0. It won't use most of both. Even when CPU1 is being hammered, the other one is doing almost nothing. [quote who="munkycheez" reply="82" id="2924750"]raised from the dead... again. I am also running the mod "Sacrifice of Angels: for entrenchment" and downloaded a map that is supposed to depict the en

I assume it's Sins fault itself and not your mod, but I'm about 8 hours in to a game and like someone flipped a switch the game's performance tanked horribly. It went from running smooth to a 1.5 second pause every 4 seconds, and when it's not pausing it's a little skippy. Minimizing settings made no difference at all. I think I have at least another 3 hours before I might be able to win, and this pausing all the time is really frustrating. It doesn't accept input duri

This mod is pretty sweet, but I am having an issue dealing with the Borg. I just played a large map with the AI set up for 3v3v2. On my side all grouped together is me as the Federation, allied with the Klingons and Romulans. The other team of 3 is the Dominion. The 2 of course is Borg. Each Borg AI is easily alone dominating a team of 3 alone. I had a fortified Desert World with a maxed out Starbase, maxed out shield techs (and the shield hardening and tegeting tech) 27 or so defense

I am using whatever is the most current version of Sins and Entrenchment, and GalaxyForge 3. If I recall correctly, I was using a version of Sins when I made the map that was shortly after the line at the top of the map file went from "Version 0" to "Version 1". And I use the English version stuff anyway. Thanks for the offer of help, I've sent it and two older versions to you.

I have a map I made shortly after Sins was released. I spent a lot of time tweaking and I am really hoping to be able to fix the problem. If I try to load it in Galaxy Forge, it stops with the following error: ************** Exception Text ************** System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException: External component has thrown an exception. at new[](UInt32 ) at Iron.DynamicVector .SetMaxSize(Dyn

If Galatic Civilizations 2 had multiplayer I'd still be playing heavily today. I kept checking back but I never saw an update for multiplayer even though I read somewhere they would probably release an update for it. All the great qualities it has is easily countered by have no multiplayer. Great if you really don't mind not being able to enjoy it with friends. Upgrading Starbases was extremely tedious, and the way ships were designed (their functions, nothing about the appearance) seemed a bit

I have two questions.. First, is there a way to make it so you cannot travel from one star to another? And second, what decides the background color of the space around a system? It seems completely random. I've had a system with a blue star have a red background, or a green background. It's quite distracting and unrealistic to me. Any way to fix this?

Happened to me too. I fixed it by including all the files from the GameInfo directory to my mod's GameInfo directory, even files that I didn't change.

It gets a bit slow for my PC on really large maps with 4+ players. I have a P4 3.00ghz w/hyperthreading, 2 gigs of ram, and an nvidia 7800 GS. Decent PC, but not exactly top of the line any more. I also noticed the game doesn't utilize most of my RAM and doesn't constantly fully tax my CPU. I thought maybe it was the AI players, but even when they are all eliminated, it still runs slow for the duration of the game even if nothing specific is going on at that point. Maybe it has somethi

I'd like to first say I enjoy this game quite a bit. However there are a few concerns I have. Most notably, the AI. General Behavior: The AI, regardless of difficulty setting and management type (aggressive, economic, etc) avoids fleet to fleet battles like the plague unless their fleet is much MUCH bigger. Game after game, The enemy AI fleet continually runs from the other even if they are mostly balanced. When I attack them, they retreat and stay one jump

My brother and I can also verify all these reported problems, other than the one about a Pirate Base achievement not counting, it did for me my first time and I never looked into it again. My ships routinely ignore enemy frigate factories.

I find culture in this game a bit out of place. It just doesn't fit well. How a planet I just bombarded into oblivion and is now completely sterile uncolonizble due to enemy culture, I cannot fathom. ...

The issue could be completely resolved with the simple addition of letting you type in a box how much you want to send. Just add a "Are you sure you wish to send X amount of X to X?" confirmation.

I got tired of hearing that ALT+F4 idiocy like 10 years ago. When it's been done by ten million people before you, maybe you should get some new material.

This happened to me when I edited the description for the map inside galaxy forge. When I removed all text from that line, it worked again.
