There's a problem with the space miners where they don't improve an asteroid field you point them towards. You have to point them there two or three times before they begin improving it.

I got my e-mail but when I go to update it's telling me the cd key is invalid... anyone else having this problem?
You should get it according to prior stardock posts
post if you're d\ling
I'm having problems with the update for galcivii. I've updated more than twice but the version number is not changing and constantly tells me an update is available...
lol thanks kryo
lol well I guess I could argue that you copied mine but I'm sure we can both agree that mass effect had better come out on time! Not to mention it would be nice if bioware hooked us up with more info other than scraps! ::calms down::... another time... another forum.
lol it's still early. Give it time. I understand your anticipation. i'm waiting for it too.
How will we be recieving notification about the beta for download? I pre-ordered already and am just curious.
My concern is that I don't really plan on upgrading the laptop I am purchasing. I will probably buy a desktop in two years with a far superior GPU. Just wondering if the 512 MB version would be worth the extra cash. I don't think Gal Civ 2 running on it would be a problem but I'm also thinking of games like Oblivion and Star Trek: Legacy (which I was surprised by their system req). Thanks.
KEWL, thanks
I have to decide between a NVIDIA 256 MB Geforce 7600 GO or it's 512 MB counterpart. My system already has 2 gigs of ram. Which one should I go with? Is the 512 going to substantially increase the quality of images, resolution, and fps? or am I just wasting my money by getting a 512?
Would a dual core processor improve performance of Gal Civ 2? Also, is a slower dual core processor better than a faster single core?
oh ok thanks
Before, I don't recall having a problem changing the folder in Gal Civ II where it looks for mods. However, I recently had to reinstall Gal Civ2 on my comp, then upgraded to 1.31, and when I tried to point it towards a different folder where I kepp the mods... well... it won't let me. There is no option to do so. Am I missing something?
how's the next version coming along?
Just checked through the tech tree and it looks like all the later weapons can't be installed onto ships after they have been researched.
Did it thanks. Works now. Noticed something though... When you research the later beam weapon technologies you can't install them on the ships. I researched the full beam tech tree but can't install anything past Disruptors III. Anyone else notice this?
Spaxspore, Did that. Didn't work. Any ideas? Could there be a file I missed deleting? And if so possibly where?
KNIGHTBLADE05, I did as you suggested and there was no change. I checked with all the other races and they each have the same problem. However, in game, the other races apparently have no problem researching or using the technology.
I may be doing something wrong but... how do I access the hulls for my race with this mod? I'm playing as the Federation but don't have access to any hulls. It says it'll take 11000 weeks or so to access the Federation tech tree. What's up with that? Did I install wrong or something?
I've had some mixed results on how best to setup my trade routes. Is it better that they go to farther off places or to places nearby?
The AI always makes alliances in my games. Assuming war hasn't been running rampant. I notice it happens most if my civ is especially powerful.
Great mod guys. I know it's still a beta version but it's still awesome. I did want to point out a few things I noticed during gameplay. 1. Romulan freighters are invisible. 2. Escort ships that are created by the computer AI are also invisible. 3. The game crashes sometimes during full battles. Especially if battling the invisible escort ships. Once again, great mod. I hope my observations help.
I do believe this is a bug. I am upgraded to 1.2 but there are times when my population never reaches max potential. Even on my small planets where the max population is 5 Billion sometimes it stops at 2.5 Billion even though I have 100% approval. Anyone else have this problem?
