You're lazy? Ive been out of the loop for how long now?

Oh no! Not Necromancy! One of my early mod ideas for Sins before it was released in 2008 was "Federation, and Empire". However i pulled the plug on it due to how Amarillo Design Bureau, and Task Force Games FIERCELY defend their IP. When i was modding Starfleet Command in the late 90's, and early 2000's there were several incidents of cease, and desist sent to artists. Especially when it came to Starfleet Battles specific content. Like the Andros, the Hydrans, or the Kzinti.</

Nah. Just haven't been up to anything new lately.
TBH All of the Homeworld games have been about the Single Player experience. With MP being after thoughts, or just shoehorned in. Deserts of Kharak seems to be no exception. For those like me that do not play multiplayer this is just fine. There really needs to be more Single Player focused story line games. I'm not going to say DoK is a "great" RTS, because it is not. I rate it as an "average" RTS. There are far better RTS's out there. However i did enjoy the campaign
I agree that is one thing that is lacking is any kind of game play videos. Save for the one early video. There is much we do not know about DoK. I never said it wouldn't be good. I am giving the game a chance. Otherwise i wouldn't have pre-ordered it. I said if it does indeed turn out to be good. Then even better. It was money well spent. I seriously doubt we will be seeing anything "new" as in any kind of new RTS mechanics. So far it looks like typical base building, or defen
I don't think we are going to see anything new, or "ground breaking" (pun intended) in DoK. I think this will be another typical ground based RTS. I am more interested in the what they do with the HW story than any game play itself. Since i already have Remastered i pre-ordered since i got the discount for it, and just to complete the HW collection. If it does indeed turn out to be a good game. Even better.
Though i am educated, I can be grammatically challenged at times ;) English was NOT my best subject in school. I would fail at writing, but excelled at reading, and comprehension. I guess they both balanced out in the end. It does seem like this movie was a major set up for sequel.. Like we didn't see this coming. It will be interesting to see what the "other" directors are going to do with Disney's new "cash cow". Since JJ won't be directing them.
I agree with the OP on most of his points. TFA however is not as bad as the prequels. While it did have some absurdity it didnt stand out like it did with the prequels. When i first saw the movie i felt just as the OP did, I thought it was a pretty good action flick. Something JJ is almost notorious for. Look what he did to Star Trek. Enough said. Star Wars on the other hand fits the "action" genre better than Star Trek. However as i let it sink in i saw the flaws that were pointed out, and m
"Retribution"?! Last i checked this isnt Dawn of War 2 :p Sorry for the late response. First thing i would try is verifying your Rebellion install on steam. If all else fails uninstall, and re-install it. Is the lag from game start to finish, or is it just late game lag? If it's late game lag then that is a well known issue that we were fighting from day one. TSOP focused on Graphic Issues, and fixing errors that would make the game use more ram than it should. Sin
I was working on HW Remastered stuff until Windows 10 messed me up. Now that i am back on 8.1 ill see what i can do to put some shine on here. PFFT! Gaming rig.. Ive been laptopping it for the last 3 years
Kinda off topic I was having issues installing windows 7 to a USB hard drive. Pretty much found out the hard way that windows 7 doesn't like USB 3.0. My laptop has no way of switching to USB 2.0 in the bios. The stupid question i have is if i burn my installation to dvd will i still get that "Install Drivers" window that you cant skip to install windows 7. I am hoping that i can do a clean install of windows 7 then upgrade the usb drivers after installation.
You need to show hidden files, and folders to find the mod path
Ether Ironclad makes Sins 2 to make up for their SoaDA losses, or they give (as in sell) the IP over to Stardock. Where as Sins 2 will be all but guaranteed to be made. While i am heavily into HW Remastered right now. I sure wouldn't say no to another Sins game.
I got recovery disks for my laptop as well, but i chose to create an 8.1 installation flash drive. This is to avoid installing all of the damn useless HP bloatware the recovery disks wants to install. Since the cd key is embedded into the bios no issues in pure 8.1 clean install.
I will have to check this out. Thank you for the map. The Borg, and pretty much any AI faction in SoA2 were intended to be played on hard settings, and up. Since there is something borked about the Sins AI that makes easy, or medium difficulty on mods all, but useless. The AI sometimes wont build, or research anything on easy, or medium (Especially the Borg), and any AI fleets are virtually non existent. Though i suppose that is a good thing if you just want to check out your factions
@Starkers http://www.howtogeek.com/218856/how-do-you-disable-the-get-windows-10-icon-shown-in-the-notification-tray/?PageSpeed=noscript Just in case you want to get rid of that taskbar icon
No. It was not my original windows 8 key. I read up on all that before i did the upgrade. Plus on how to find your cdkey from your existing windows installation. What i did was pull the new cdkey from windows 10 AFTER i upgraded. So the key i pulled was a windows 10 key. Which was a totally different key than what i had for the old windows 8 installation. I triple checked the Windows 10 key. Then i created the USB Windows 10 installation media as a backup. Using the MS media creation tool.</p
Thanks for the responses. My W-10 adventure got even better, because something happened (i have no freaking clue what), and i did in fact run into that endless reboot loop. So i nuked it from orbit. I tried to use the installation media i made with W-10 installed. With the CD key i pulled from that same W-10 installation... Why am i not surprised that it didn't work? It said the cd key was invalid (no. i didn't typo it). How the hell is the cd key invalid when that was the cd
Yes i made the jump to Windows 10, because it actually IS better for gamers. As a Gaming OS it is outstanding. Games that i had problems with running in XP, 7, or 8 run smoothly in 10. However gaming, and surfing the web is about all that W-10 is good for IMO. I havent figured out all the power user functions yet (if they havent been locked out). Now i have run into the Windows Update issue. What WU does is absolutely nothing at all ! Just blue dots just go across app
There is "some" hope. Many of these issues can be turned off, or disabled just like in Windows 8.1. You just need to be a little savy with some of them, and know what to look for. One Drive was the first thing i disabled after the upgrade. I don't need a copy of my hard drive on a "cloud'. I don't ever use it so i set it not to sync with anything, or load on startup. Though i am kind of pissed that they embedded it into windows, and you cant uninstall it (been like that si
Some of the art has changed since i stopped working on SoA2, but when i was working on the art assets the goal was to match, or do better (as in lower) than the poly counts, and texture resolutions of the vanilla assets being replaced. This would insure that any system that can run Sins will have absolutely no trouble running the mod right out of the box. Nor would there be any need for LAA. Obviously hardware has improved since 2008 when the project started. I am still not exactly su
The fact that it's built into Windows 10 alone makes me not like it (Wasn't MS sued over having IE embedded into windows too?). As far as actual speed. I didn't see much difference from any other browser. Funny on Windows Feedback every post that i said i would just as soon use Firefox got deleted.
32 bit can use up to 3.5 gigs of ram. Many games upgraded to be able to use the full 3.5 gigs of ram. Not Sins. Yes, we already know about LAA. Some mods like SoaGE, and Armada 3 require LAA to be run with their mods. However i question whether LAA really does force Sins to use more than 2 gigs of ram, or just sets aside 2 gigs exclusively for Sins to use. Sins is "Hard coded", or built into the game to crash when it reaches 2 gigs of ram usage. LAA patched, or not. TSOP was d
LOL is not pay to win, mostly at least. They have a habit of making new champs pretty OP for the first couple weeks, but other than that you can't really buy much of an advantage, and frequent enough play would get it anyway. You pretty much just pay for skins, purely visual upgrades. Anything else can be obtained by points earned playing.
My bad. My boy corrected me today. H
