LOL well sorry bout that....

Well...sorry for the false excitement ron...but I believe they were refinery ships, my bad. I went back and played and my cursor went over one of the 'trade ships' en route to another system, and it turned out to be a refinery ship. My bad ;(
On HARD they build a few, but not many trade ports...and they do work across systems but I would still rather put that money into research stations...any hard numbers on like 5 SD per jump?
Im just expressing my opinion that the value of trade and refinery values should go up...I really notice no difference when I have them and when I don't except in the long run in which case I would rather have the money to spend and an extra logistic spot...
Personally, I hate pausing in RTS and RT4X games...just ruins the whole point of the game. But I do believe in setting a speed for the game, i.e. 2x or 5x at start then after 15 minutes slow down to 1x then 1/2x etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. This would help get the game moving online, as at the start you don't take nearly as long as you do when you have many planets, so you end up just sitting there waiting. The pause should stay in singleplayer, though...Maybe not as a 'Pause and issue orders'
I LOVE the multi-bonus planets...they upgrade asteroids and demote planets sometimes. It is a perfect balance...but there should still be single bonus planets. A wide variety with bonuses being rare, and multi-bonus planets beingg more so, but not unheard of.
Ditto for most of your comments, Andrew. The one problem I have encountered with the AI is that when playing Multi-System games, I can EASILY colonize all other systems before the AI even send a preliminary assault group (Not the scout, they scout the systems fine). Same thing with the credits...I think you should either a) increase the tax rate, b) decrease the allegience to like 5% per jump and thus increasing tax income from planets, c) increase sale value of crystal and metal. In any case, e
On your points 1-3, I have no opinion. 4 has been discussed. 5, however, I support you. This should only be so in singleplay, however because online it would get too complex asking your partner(s) to slow/speed it up. I will start with singleplayer. The pace of the game is extremely slow, especially when you have run out of resources and need to get more before you do anything. As of now, I just let the game run and go read a book. Having different settings of speed would be appropriate in this
I agree, as well as perhaps changing the work loads on extractors to 24 hours from the default 8 hours at the cost of culture (like your being cruel to your people) or something. This would triple or increase the speed at which you get resources, but you can still only get X amount from each mine.
I agree with absolutely everything you said, Tokfan. Diplomacy should be expanded and the lanes should not be so erratic.
Perhaps, and I am sorry if this has already been suggested as I need to go in but a few minutes, every star has the same and independant tactical points. Independant as in every Star has the same and that amount depends on the number of Stars in the game. Next, the ownership of the Star should go to the person with the most controlled PLANETS, not asteroids, in the system (and yes, I know THIS was mentioned before). The only thing that would change as you get more planets would be the cost of de
On many points I, myself, agree with Awac. I agree that a) there needs to be more diversity in the ships, b) if they don't add another ship class the Capital Ships should be much more of a rarity. Also, in the respect to accuracy, Capital Ships should NOT be able to hit frigates for the same damage as they would larger ships. If this game is supposed to be in an era where accuracy is perfect, then I can understand that. Perhaps it takes a fraction of a second longer to fire? Anythi
