lol, yeah, haven't played sins all week, then look for update today, and i see the beta 4. Cant' wait till its done downloading.
The Taelon
Umm... So whats the beta 4 got in store? I'm guessing the Vasari will be the race thats added, but besides that what will be added? Any more TEC ships? If so just one or two or upwards of five? Anything else? And what week, if not day, in november will it be released?
Good question. Because after a while all asteroids are completely depleted and if you haven't researched the "better mining" techs much sooner than it may be a complete waste of money/resources to do it afterwards.
Actually, Since the techs only make you mine faster, not more (total amount of mins per asteroid is still the same) I think its better to wait till all your asteroids are depleted, then research the minerals, as spending minerals so you can deplete your suply
though eve gives tons of new stuff in every free expansion "Free" though has a bit different meaning when you're already paying every month just to play
True, though games such as world of warcraft (I may be wrong, but from my knowledge) dont even give as much on a regular cycle as EvE. Anyway, if Sins give
Yeah, I don't see how in big maps anyone can have an optimally profitable empire, Probably the best is to use some form of regional governer bonust that gives the planet a default of 15% plus 50-75% (perhaps depending on the level of governer) and can be built more through research like capital ship crews. and there would also be a limit about building them say... 3-5 jumps from capital systems, and 2-3 jumps from other governers, with about a maximum of 5-10 with maximum research. Also an idea
I suppose *any* game would get repetitive if it was played long enough. The question is then, how do you prevent the game from feeling repetitive for as long as possible? Perhaps one way to do this, is to adjust or eliminate whatever makes the game feel tedious. One of the things I find tiresome is how long it can take for ships and fleets to move and jump to different locations. If I'm staring at my screen waiting for my resources rise to the point where I can afford to research a te
I do like surprises.
What I want to see, having put a few hours in the game, is more AI interactability, things such as the commands in the age of empires II: conquerers expansion, where you can tell your ally to focus on building a navy, or their economy. Only in sins, it would be for them to send a fleet to help you in a specific system, perhaps, or focus on research, or on economy, or on spending all resources on a military. Really though, I want the "Request Reinforcements" option most, because that would make i
Support: This means not only patches for problems and balance issues but also new material once in a while. Ranging from a new map to add-ons. Stardock's GC II is a good example for it
Right on. One of the reasons I like the game Eve Online, GC II as well (though eve gives tons of new stuff in every free expansion, I havent seen nearly as much from GCII). Also important is how each race is balanced. Are the races pretty much the same just graphically different w
A better idea I would think would be to change the name of the attack command to (Rules of Engagement) and the move command to (Move Orders). Then the first impression upon glancing at them would be less ambiguous and clearly say there is something else there.
How about just naming it to the classic "attack stance" and "move". And as for all your suggestions, they would be a good idea for an expansion perhaps. perhaps battlestations could be only 1 per system,
They SAY Spore will be released March 3rd 2008, but I've noticed that computer games often don't quite seem to get released on their first release date. Half-life 2 for instance...we could be waiting for this game for years... actully, it was originally supposed to be released last novemb
Tokens sound good, hope to join the beta soon then.
what time tomorrow? Is there time to order the game tomorrow? Or is it closed from tomorrow until beta 4? Also, can you buy tokens, then use them to buy the game and get into the beta(I dont really know how tokens work but whatever)? ps: game looks awesome.
