You can see the effects in the planet's infocard. You can also hover your mouse over the 0%/50%/100% explored indication on the bottom middle, and it'll give you some fluff details about what you found too. I don't think there's a list of the bonuses somewhere.

Asking for objectivity in an area that is defined by subjectivity won't get you far. What's fun for me won't be fun for you, and trying to convince anyone about it is a futile effort doomed to failure. I'm one of those that think it's one of the best strategy games ever made. Why? The only way that I know of is to kill them fast. Those babies cost a hefty sum, so this plus your dark armada should mean that your fleet is superior to anyone that builds so many of them. They also take a long time to get built, so you can get a good headstart if you have good scouting. And they do 3.500 damage iirc, so two of them can one-shot even a fully upgraded terran planet. A shielded planet might be able to last longer, but this is TEC only, so it won't help you.

How exactly does it work? Does it give you a portion of everything the other players spend? Only what they spend in some things? Does it give you only credits, or metal and crystals too? And what constitutes a trade, and what a sale for the purpose of the tech? edit: A question that I forgot: Does it also give you a benefit for your own purchases?
