This would overcomplicate the game and stall early expansion. The game is on the verge of being slow as is, we don't need extra costs. Still its a very interesting idea :)

You couldn't be more wrong Kyle. The game already has dozens of hand on reviews, and in almost of every single one the first paragraph has the phrase "spore is finished" in it. The game has been polished on Will's own request and want. He's been doing Sim games for a long time now, and I am quite certain he wants the first game in a new series to be pretty damn good.

That article is mearly assumption. I believe spore will be out this spring.

I demand for this game to be either released one day early, or 5 days late!

The cap ships all have a 'culture rate' listed on the info cards in Beta 4. Not sure about the gamma though.

Okay, so I noticed a few things in the video. It appears solar systems are now on different planes It also looks like you don't start out with a cap ship factory(is the first cap ship still free?) The graphics have been majorly improved(I was psyched to see a little rotating light on top of the acrova) And, ships can miss now?
