Game crashes soon after I start up... in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Hi. Just downloaded the game,and it crash my comp soon after I crank up GalCiv II. Sometimes the screen goes black, like there is no signal, sometimes the comp. restarts itself. Drivers and Directx are updated. Anyone have a clue to what this might be? Thanks in advance..
