Considering how much of a success Ship Design in GalCiv 2 was and is, this seems like an excellent idea for Stardock to me. It seems only logical to me to bring it to the next level. Some people might want do design a ship from time to time with all parts enabled. Exactly, I forgot to mention that in my first post. Since it was such a success the

Yeah. I also find that when I go over 20bil or reach 22bil mark the approval drops like mad. I think the extra tax money is not worth the drop on approval.

They just dock there and take a beating one by one until all are gone. Well, if the AI attacks with fleets and you don't have the Orbital Fleet Manager your ships are pretty much toasted since it's a single ship against one fleet of them. Of course if you have single capital ships defending a planet and the AI attacks you with a small / medium sh

Voted for environment categorization of planets Also, I don't know if this has been talked about yet, but a ship editor independent from games would be awesome. We could create, delete, rename, redo ships with only the techs we wanted. Of course all techs would be available within the editor so that one could dictate when in the game the ship could be used. Example: if in the editor I constructed

Of course it' easier to be evil than good, it's like that in the real world, by wouldn't it be in the game? But evil has it's disadvantages also. For example, in the game I'm playing the United Planets voted in favor of the Evil races only having 2 trade routes. I'm glad I'm neutral leaning good, since my 8 trade routes ( with alien routs also ) are giving me 250bc per turn. So yeah, if I was evil I'd be kinda screwed money wise. Also, check the manual for what good, neutral and evil al

That's true. But there are some cases that the company that produced the game doesn't decide to include extreme measures like Starforce. Take Egosoft for example ( X, X2, X3 ). Alot of users still complain about Starforce and actually boicoted the game. They demand for Egosoft to get rid of it but they reply on saying that the decision of Starforce wasn't theirs. It was their publisher's, so yeah, that's to bad for them. I have X3 and I like it, but I don't have it installed.

So I'm not the only one. Awesome, glad to see that a company ( and small one too ) can make profits whith absolutely NO pirate protecion like that s*** Starforce ( a shame X3 has it... ) and other stuff. Want bonus and fix patches? Buy the game. Want to participate in net competition ( MV )? Then buy the game. This is the way to go in my opinion and it seems they're having success. Here's to a great company and great game! Cheers!

and I'm sooooooooooooooooooo going to buy it. No really, I am. It's not enough that this game rocks by itself but Stardock's position on this does also. No piracy protections, no cd on drive crap! Consumers get full trust from you guys so yeah, here's how I show my gratitude towards that. Of course you wouldn't go anywhere if the game didn't rock but hey! I also want the patches badly and to participate in Metaverse so here's my 50€ for you guys ^^ Already placed my order at amazon.c
