Very interesting read.

I've no words to describe how awesome you guys are. Really. . . .
The Torians should be ahead of everyone in the favorite race poll here at the site. Torian theme music > every GalCiv race combined! RLY!
Man, Twilight of the Arnor is looking so sweet, I can't wait! Cheers for Stardock crew! :CONGRAT:
January it is
Oh yeah, I sure missed these examples! Keep them coming
Most excelent tale! Congratulations Draginol. It was very entertaining.
Please please please, make a star name randomizer without us having to resort to other software. It adds so much more to the feeling of a diferent universe if ya know what I mean
Congratulations Stardock. You guys are going through the right path with gamers and the industry in general by putting all your efforts and love in a game, and it shows. I'd say you'll have a very prosperous future if you keep it up
Whoa, that's weird. The only anomaly I have is sometimes, when space stations are destroyed their graphics wont go away. If I construct one in the same spot, it overlaps the other and it looks like I have two space stations on top of one other. I have Dark Avatar, but this always happened to me since Dread Lords 1.0 :\
Awsome, just purchased it and I can wait to play it. One thing though: I really dislike having to install SDCentral just to download the expansion. I don't use any other Stardock products so it's pointless for me to keep it instaled. The only place I was informed that I needed to install SDC was in the reciept after I bought it. Cheers
Antother BIG YES, from me. As long as they're optional, I'm all for it. Great ideias from the users here too.
Sweetness! Downloading as I key! Thank you Stardock. You guys rock.
I dunno, but sometimes it seems that when I have abundant anomalies I also have lots of planetary bonuses. Of course it could all be me...
Yup! My only problem with my laptop is overheating (damn the summer..).
Don't missles take a but more space off ships? I think that's their downfall. If not, then it's the price. Anyway, the only one I can agree with you is the GGB which really needs to be fixed. The other one's I don't have that much experience to form an opinion yet (although the morale/population equation is not one that I like much).
A game without a multiplayer option, is half a game these days. Wow. That's so not true. There are great games without MP option currently. Of course there's also crap SP games. But then again, not all MP games are great also... Anyway, GalCiv, in my opinion, doesn't need MP at all. Leave that for RTS's.
A game without a multiplayer option, is half a game these days. Wow. That's so not true. There are TONS of great games single player. Problem is, in the
Um, this is about the Devastation Beam SB module, not minor races. I wonder how you guys do not notice this...
Well, there are two reasons I love minor races. One of them is because they usually make unusable plantes into 16+ PQ ones when they move in to the galaxy (yes, for me to conquer). And other reason is just as another user said: They add flavor to the mix. It's just very cool to have a minor joining the party. I just wish they were more stronger and more threatening. <td class="mb-Body-Quote-Tex
its balanced as is. Your proposul would put even more weight on military technology. Which already has so much. Sure. But I don't understand the reason behind such misplaced modules. One requires a tech that doesn't even exist and another one requires one to research the entire missle tree. Atlas Sling is probably the coherent one.
OK, there are more problems so it seems. I just noticed this one because I could never find the tech that made it available, finding it odd. And I think the +7 weapons modules should be equally given in the tech tree. I mean, having Matter Detinators (shouldn't it be Detonators?) available only with the Black Hole Eruptors and the Devastation Beam and Atlas Sling early in the game doesn't seem very logic to me. Anyway, I hope Stardock will address these inconsistencies in a future patch
What's up with this one * ( typo )
In my games one thing I notice is that whenever I build a Starbase the Devastation Beam is available very quick if not imediatly. I've reasearched a little and in one FAQ (from gamefaqs.com) the dude says that the required tech for it (Subspace Ripper) may not even be on the game. I then downloaded Galactopedia and looked for the Devastation Beam module and surprise! It ain't there. Neither is the Subspace Ripper tech. So yeah, what's up with one?
One feature I would like to see above all others however, is the ability to use new shipyards every game. Deleting all the ship designs and obsoleting the core ships gets really annoying after a while. That's where the Ship Designer would come in!
