3- Another comment/question. In the early stages of the game, I see a capital starship attack some pirates at a near planet. It is clear that the pirates will be destroyed. Why aren't they trying to flee (for regrouping or just to save their arses!!) ? Can the AI (for other players or pirates) flee a battle?

Hi, I don't have the game so far. I'm waiting for the next beta to buy (and try). But I'm currently watching Multianna's videos (beta 2) and I have 2 comments so far: 1- Would be really nice to see the Capital ships move and try evasive maneuvers instead of being steady. Also, would be nice to see some shots missing the target (even if the engine doesn't support this, just a visual effet and no change in the damages would make really more realistic). It must have some dynamic!<
I always want more Would have been nice to have neutral people on some planets. When you conquer them by force, you have a big "approval" penalty for some time, but when you conquer them by diplomacy, well then basically fall in love with you But again, I am saying this without having tried the game, so my idea is
Hi, I haven't tried the game so far. I just have a gameplay question or two about diplomacy. Can it be used to conquer neutral planets? Let's say there is a planet without your of opponent presence. Is the military way (dropping troops or colonies) the only way to acquire the planet or can it be done by diplomacy (or influence), where it falls by itself in your favor (because it is already populated by neutral people). Oh and another question. Is there an "approval" percentage
I haven't tried to beta also, but I do like the Alway reply about having controls to decide the game speed (construction time, ship speed, research time) without going into modding. That way, all people would be please if the game can be balanced for each speed. Games without this kind of liberty (like I said in my thread "Time enhancement") are kind of frustrating in the long run. EDIT: and this topic is mainly the reason why I haven't bought it so far. I was really too disapo
Yep I could not agree more. I even tried to mod it to add some zing to it but in the end lost all interest in it. Sadly it had so much potential... You speak truth ! I thought that this game was Rebellion 2... (I'm still a huge fan of SW Rebellion) Well, I was wrong! I'm still dreaming of a Rebellion 2...
Yep those are words to live by. well, good then. I was just wondering if it was possible. I bought (some time ago) SW Empire at War and was pretty disappointed with the game speed (unit building, research, movement between planets, etc...) It is just too arcade for me and I didn't found an easy way to slow things down.
Hi, just started to watch Multianna's videos, and I have a question. Will it be possible to enhance the delays in the game? What I mean by delay is: - Time to complete researches; - Time to build ships/upgrades/installations (whatever); So basically, you could slow down the technology advancement (and ships construction), which would enhance the time a game takes to complete, making it maybe a little more strategical. Just a thought.
Nice !! Thanks, I'll have a look as soon as I can.
Thanks for thinking about us, the ones that are not beta testers Those screenshots are nice!
Hi, I know that the game is still in early stages, but I was wondering if it was possible to try it on a demo. The thing is I would really like to be a beta tester, but before buying a game at 45$, I would like to know if I like it! Probably not available, but I decided to give it a try! And a demo would not be necessary a playable demo, maybe just a movie of gameplay example could convince me. I would like to give the devs my inputs.. I'm a computer engineer, so I know the dri
