I downloaded and installed this last night. Any way to get details on what was actually in it?
Yeah, I can't find the files anywhere

Why is it that AI factions give you missions to destroy enemy things(ships, tac/log structures etc) before you have even found them. Also how much faith does it take to make a peace treaty. I was at 75 % and couldn't get anything above a cease fire(this included ship and planet view). Also, any stories of really cool things with diplomacy that you have seen so far would be appreciated.
Matt seriously mate no offense but grow some balls and try it out for yourself?
Or I can be smart and ask veterans their opinions instead of coming here and saying the game sucks and is too hard.
1 more thing. Are any of the races not for noobs(i.e. you must really know how to play to really use them or some other reason)? Thanks again
Awesome. Thanks guys. One of the best communities of any game(and we all know how whiny and mean game communities can be).
OK, I have played GalCiv 2 and just about every RTS out there. I have never played this game however, just getting into it in the last few days. So I go through the tutorial and I think I have a good grasp on what it taught me. Now, with so many campaign choices, where should I start? Big campaign so there is more room for error? Small so i won't be overwhelmed? Medium to balance it out? And with each size, there are so many scenarios. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
I know one of the reasons its only about 1 gig. The intro movie is great, but its done in a quasi story board manner. Technically it FMV but really its not. Still gets the point across. Great job. You have no idea how let down I was by the amazing intro to WoW only to find out the games graphics were outdated even back in 2004 when it was released.
Honestly, pirating games will not hurt this game at all? Why. Simple. A pirate gets the game and plays it(unpatched). 1 of 2 things happens. 1st- He doesn't like it. This most likely means he would not have bought the game anyway. 2nd scenario- He likes it and wants to update it. Then he has to buy the game. Win Win. Now for an EA game with cd protection. Once the cd protection is broken(cracked), then people can download the game and patch it. This includes both people who would have bought the
Hi guys, it appears there a problem with some computers and various resolutions with the tutorials. You should be able to play them if you stay at 1024x768. You can then change to a higher resolution to play the regular game. We'll fix this right away but this will get you going.
Great. thats what I always play at anyways(old flat screen crt monitor.....I don't need some 30 inch 1000 dollar monitor). But it still looks great with
Just an FYI to the devs. I'm on the west coast and am averaging about 630-650 kb/s so the low dl rate is not all on the west coast
Well, I do agree that they really should have processed the orders last nite. But, we all knew that they wouldn't so there is not much left to do but wait. But, no matter how anyone slices it, there really was absolutely NO advantage to pre order if you did not play beta. But, abstinence makes the heart grow fonder. Even though SD kinda did this the wrong way, they could do that a thousand times and still be in the top 95th percentile of great publishers.
THANK YOU DEVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For putting up with all the "where's my serial code" q's. For creating a whole new genre of gaming. For teaming with Stardock, who has become the bar for other gaming companies to pattern themselves after. On behalf of the SoaSE community...Thank You for all your ongoing hard work.
