ah ok, in beta 2 we still had phase lanes between stars... didn't see any note on that change

it seems the galaxy generator has some problems in beta 3... i started a random map game (the big one, 30 planets, 5 stars) the biggest trouble was that the star system i was in had no connection to the other stars (first i thought i have to research the long jump travel first now, but it didn't change anything...) so after wiping out the enemy in the first system i'm stuck there... ano
i read insurgents spawn in-system, not above it? wouldn't make sense for them to spawn outside, would it?
just give it time.. the forum seems weird in how long it takes until a topic/answer apears on the forum overview... your topic is already on that list now, it just doesn't update the topic list that often it seems...
i had some weird issues while moving the cam, after i made the screen shots for another post, i moved the cam around alot for those, then tabbed out of the game and back in a few times... after leaving the game (paused all the while) on in background for a while, i switched back in to check something, and then i couldn't zoom into most planets anymore. that means, trying to zoom down on a planet resulted in a stop before or right at the point where the grav well was displayed instea
which shields? they don't have any, they only have their hull and antimatter, maybe you mixed that up?
hmm.. i rather guess it's because the message is not immediately (i.e. if you raise the bounty on someone it takes a few seconds after the last raise until the message comes) so it might have been raised to 2000, then a ship of that faction was killed, 270 bounty was rewarded and then the message played out, stating the now current bounty of 1730... just a guess though...

if you load up a game, you will see the player screen... in that screen you can change the ais etc. (i.e. turn all ais off) though it doesn't seem to effect the game (i.e. all ais are still there) the only thing it did seem to affect was the statistics when finishing the game though (i ended up with only my statistics displayed instead of all statistics) so i guess that settings should just be locked there (though being able to change colors on loading a game might be interestin
while playing a game on max size setting (100 stars, 10 suns, though i actually got 108 planets) i noticed some errors in the display of summary screens when you have alot of planets: the crystal and metal summaries get messed up first, since you have many asteroids... the screen shot details how it looks with 41 planets owned (notice the missing planet names and ressource ship lines at the bottom) <br/
