Quoting crashmatusow, reply 14 suppose thats a matter of perspective...2 novaliths anywhere in your empire, and you force an opponent to have an SB with aux govt at every planet...and it presures him if he uses self destruct, because then his planet will be nukeable. and he has one less slot at every SB in general. ...or he has a colony ship set next to the planet who would recolonize it

i have to agre with Ue, the advent super weapon will assist your fleet better than any other superweapon. And Siddy if you dont like the advent's super weapon play a race that you like their superweapon, or just dont get the deliverence engine.

ICO is contiuing to have huge problems. Today i made a 5v5, ICO sometimes would randomly kick the host, taking the game out of the lobby. This happended every single time a friend slot was used. It took 30 mins just to get a game into the lobby that actually worked.

1. HC spams take time to build the labs, and research HCs so the best way to counter it is to be fast. go for carriers and get bombers. scout ahead and make sure he is spamming HCs. if he is really close you can kill his constructor ships with your scouts. 2. well made planet defences are hard to destroy. the best way would be the anti structure cruisers. or the vasari SB. for the ant structure cruisers have flack to keep fighters from taking them out. 3.Vasari are best at rus

ive actually seen people who only build scouts as a fleet. i once had a guy on my team who did it, and it actually worked. he had 2 fleets of 175 scouts and 30 flack (he was advent) and he was taking down SBs with 6k hp. mind you every single ship in the game counters scouts except lrfs so i still think it was a bad stratagy. i was just lucky that the guy mr. scout fleet was attacking was continually spamming lrms
hear hear! and well done to you sokar for actually trying it. i admit i had the same fears, and now ill definitly think twice before wasting my time doing MP thanks for the info
don't take sokars opinion as a reason to not play multiplayer. I really enjoy MP it is fun competing against real people other than fighting against an ai that has predictable stratagies. im not saying sokar is wrong but it is just his opinion. dont dismiss MP befor
Thats another thing. When it says: Laser/whatever dmg: 100 Does this when 100 per shot? And how do I know how many batteries each ship/building has?
the 100 dmg is actually a dmg per second ratio. the actual shot (this is an estimate) probably does 300 dmg but if it has a 2 second cooldown the weapon only does 100 dmg per sec. that is how all weapons work in the game, and is why a sho

THe enforcer also has an ability that repairs it at 18 hp per sec. its not as good as hoshikoes but it can be annoying to micro the enforcers that are being attacked to repair. it is a good way to survive against a SB for longer. I think the enforcers are the most independant HC because they can repair themselves and slow other ships down with a teir 7 ability. a fleet of enforcers alone could cream any equal fleet of only other HCs. But that doesnt help much with a balanced fleet, bu

to counter a bomber spam it is best to get tons of fighters. flack are useless against bombers (they do the wrong type of dmg). Your TEC friend has it easier than you, a lvl 3 of the kols flack burst could take out all of the bombers at once if they were in range, leaving him without a fleet. to kill his carriers you should build lots cobalts/skirmishers. Now for the vasari you probably want a kortul devastator cause it has the Jam weapons ability which can keep the enemy bombers from

with 297 planets that is probably normal, if you play online most games will never go past 2 hours, or if it is a 5v5 there will be rushing and the game could last less than an hour. it all depends how you play and who you are with. against ai if you do a large random single with teams it would probably take 2-3 hours depending on how well you can beat the ai.

and another suggestion is to start a game that asks for new players only, that way you can play with players closer to your skill level and you can learn with them. if you go into some "skilled" games they might scare you away from playing online cause they can get a little rude to newer players.

flacks are defenatly overpowered. I was creaming a TEC player early game with a fleet of 30+ assilents. I saw him spamming flack so I retreated and started spamming LF. then he attacked me. my fleet had about the same lf as he had flack. his fleet creamed my fleet. he had about 30 flack, and 15 hoshikoes and a marza. my around 25 LF got destroyed because the flack just wouldnt die. I even had my assilents attacking his hoshikoes. now figure this out around 25 vasari LF is about 175 fleet poin
and if you place your logistical structures around your starbase your enemy would be stupid to leave it there because all the logistical slots would be used up. Could you explain this, top vasari? I have no idea what you're trying to say here
what I'm trying to say is when you build logistical structures around a planet they take up logisical slots. even when the planet is destroyed they still take up logistical slots. so If you have a desert planet with 9 tr
