i dont see why all you people are saying that ion bolt is lackluster, with 25 lrms and 30 scouts i have killed a lvl 6 progen, that started retreating from the center of a grav well, it had 100% health and shields, it died before even reaching the edge to jump because i kept ion bolting it. Ion bolt also can be used to interrupt Shield restore. if used properly Ion bolt is by far the best cap killing ability in the game. _|~Uber

he has about 20-30 so they cant be quickly destroyed, It is a very deadly strat, the best thing is to have air superiority so you can take out his Ruiners before they lay the mines. _|~Uber

Pawelo does it with subverters, he locks down your fleet, puts mines and when they arm he lets your fleet get creamed by mines. Its actually really funny to watch, unless he is against you.... _|~Uber

Well for DT the top has to be, JJ, followed by tyr, after that its between alot of contenders. For BIA Greyfox is probably the top, you are up there sunny and I dont know who else. no that wasent my strat lol :p i was trying to help Seratonin because you were creaming him, he was supposed to attack at the same time so he could defend at least 1 of teh SBs but he was off colonizing and by the time his fleet got there it was too late. what is more fun is when your enemy is fighting a battle at one of your planets you put mines all the way to the phase lane, then laugh at them when they want to retreat. if they go around they lose their fleet to my fleet, if they stay they lose their fleet and if they go though the mines they lose their fleet. you should try it some time, usually people are microing in battles too much to notice mines being layed behind them _|~Uber

Here is a great game where i manage to counter halocryn Lf+scout rush 1 guy gets rolled at the start, but all of our other fronts push forwards and we end up winning great to watch if you are having problems with the advent LF rush (i was TEC and he had nutrals near his HW giving him an econ advantage) here _|~Uber

agent i cant argue that vasari are far weaker then TEC and advent on the rush. and as vasari it is near impossible to counter a good rush from the other races unless you use SBs (which is a bad strat because it traps you in) a kortul can hold its own against any cap in the game, and is a good starting cap to stop sova rush, you would need the DS so he cant use missile battereis then you just need a small supporting fleet, if you wanted you could even go double kortul.

one more thing the sova is a combat cap, it is designed to do tonnes of dmg. the skinantra is a support cap as all of its abilities focus on helping the fleet. ever tried putting a donov against a kortul, i think we can all figure out the result. the argument about caps should be able to beat each other is not valid, because different caps have different rolls, the sova is ment to deal dmg, the skinantra is ment to have an unkillible SC presence. <p

i would get an egg and a skinantra to clean up the bombers. Nanoes will kill his sova fast, and with good micro fighters can take out the missile batteries. double skinatra would work unless he had all fighters then you would have to use something else. _|~Uber

no you dont get even a game played for DCing here is an example if i have a record of 20 games and 18 wins, i play a game, then DC, my record stays the same. if you DC it doesnt count that you even played a game, thats how it is broken. scoob has more like 100 games while his record only shows about 60 of them because he DCs. _|~Uber

i think ferdie was joking around thats why he went for 8 civic labs. In a real game that he was trying i doubt that he would try to do that. Alot of times he SBs his HW and goes econ, which puts his team in a bad spot when he usually gets rolled, but this game he had enough time to build an econ before losing his HW so it didnt matter as much. _|~Uber
