When you explain why Master U got his scores on metaverse cheat flagged, then maybe i'll be happy to buy the expansion. also... if the new abilities are balanced.... why bother? players will just find out which albility is the most giving then all will play that race, forcing you to update, fixing it, and so on and so on....

Yes it is reasonable. If they actually did that!!! When they say you are losing even though you liberating 20 of their worlds, they are not talking about fighting to the last being. I'd buy your arguement if they did. Thats what I mean, I think there should be a diffrent way of calculating military strength rather than just number of ships....<br

argh you have to subscribe to fileplanet. does metaverse score more if you use 1.31? I'm currently in the middle of a metaverse game, Had to turn it down a couple of levels from suicidle, cos the AI expand quicker than is humanly possible. In fact i'd say the AI cheat, there I said it. I reckon there is some kind of cheating built into the AI because even if you micro managed every single turn, there is no way a player can out-expand the AI... Somebo

ok.... So the AI can run an uber economy, creat ships faster than any human player.... Its smart, reads what you are doing and takes counter measures... I'm in total agreement. It's pointless building mega starships withs costs spiralling into the 3-5 thousands BC mark. They take a long time to build and I find are picked off easily by smaller ships. The only drawback of using smaller hulls is you tend to lose a lot of ships but if it only takes 1-2 turns to replace, you can replace them a lot faster than you lose them. Its a good point that onomastikon makes here. It turns every race into kamakazi nations....

tested this.....there is a dip in culture but not for your star bases....so if you have two starbases around the sun of a system... but thats not sending them into revolt.... save. reload. system is now in revolt..... two turns, possiblity of one of the planets flipping.... if one flips.....you now have even more culture in that system, so the others should follow suit. reloading is a pain so I cant be be bothered.... still it is an

I've just finished a metaverse game, took a week of my holiday time to do it.....i'm trying to submit my score but metaverse wont accept my password... aye but even thought I had my star bases in there, and it was near the opponents capital they were holding it off. the drop in influence for one turn gave me the edge, when I clicked turn I managed to flip one of the planets, it cascaded from there because the balance of power in that area had been tipped in my favour by flipping a planet.

ok so here I am on my marathon game...... anyway. I'm currently using culture starbases to try and swipe star systems from my opponents because I dont want the hassles of battle. I've stuck 2 culture starbases (maxed out) around the suns of a few star systems deep into opponents space. I saved the game (a metaverse game) exited, had my dinner, came back reloaded the game to find the opponents planets are in near revolt, one turn later one
