The ironic thing is that there’s been so much discussion and thought put into how to break the 2gb limit, when the only mod I’m aware of that’s come close to that limit is 7DS. And its hit that limit not because of the number of races they have or the number of ships, effects, whatever, it’s because that mod is so bloated with redundant and useless files its almost comical. Stardock in general seems to have a history of these sorts of gaffes, and to me at least seems to come off as slightly unprofessional in its conduct. I guess that’s the cost of communicating openly with your customers and being directly involved in forum discussions and whatnot, although you’d think it would be possible to both open, and refrain from insulting people and mocking the handicapped.

We are still working on the mod but we are also busy with jobs/school/whatever. I have to give you guys “huge mad props yo” for actually doing more than simply replacing the ship models and actually editing gameplay. The system you have for planet upgrades is awesome, and I loved the particle effects you used around the various planets. The neutral trading system is a great addition and adds a lot of atmosphere to the mod.
