Lordkosc, I mean the initial load when you double-click on the SINS icon on your desktop. All I see is a hourglass and after about a minute, the ingame menu shows up. Ironfuzz, About the Multiplayer and LAN, I mentioned that some of the points I included weren't going to be released until later. I placed them in because I felt not having them contributed (or lack of) to my impressions of the game itself. And I haven't used the customize, so I can't comment on that por

Well yes, flagship literally does mean, the ship that bears the flag. In the context of space fleets, it would hold as the C&C cruiser of all fleets within the empire. Although what would be really cool would be have to have (shift + #) fleets and have a capital ship in each designated as that battlegroup's "flagship". So you'd have the "Flagship" and "Battlegroup # Flagship".
Gameplay + Satisfying, but lacking (see the '-'s) + "Fleets" and ships in general will return fire and auto-intercept hostile forces + Excellent addition of ability to "colonize" worlds, allegiances, trading, and intelligence pact + Well thought out and immerseful technology tree (research) - Lack of storyline mode - Lack of multiplayer and LAN options - Pirates are numerically stronger by many factors over the other AI "players" - AI's "empi
I've looked at the mod. It is very ambitious and I would like to play it, AFTER I finish X3's storyline
One could have a Stargate mod where it would add onto the storyline but at some point beyond the single player storyline (say 1,000 years later?). The Stargate "universe" (galaxies) would be discovered by either the TEC, Vasari, or the Advent (if they still exist) and continue onward from there.
The flagship of most real life fleets have never been the single most powerful warship in the fleet. Usually a flagship bears the title of flagship because it is the C&C (Command and Control) center for the fleet. It is also usually where the fleet commander and/or admirals are based. Often than not, the "flagship" is often just a command cruiser used for its logistics ability rather than its fighting capability. Since we are on the subject of flagships, can a SSE (my shorthand
Having owned X and X2, but not played either (until X3), I can say it is very different from earlier space-sims like FreeSpace: The Great Conflict. However, it is a simply gorgeous game with a very well written and put together storyline. The crash bugs mentioned above have been fixed on the latest patch release (2.1) as well as the Steam purchase (latest patch applied).
Well your future build Thrawn will come in at around $1600 shipped. That doesn't include the amount of time you need to spend putting it together or Windows Vista Home Premium/Ultimate. For me, anything beyond $1500 is throwing away money for a very slight increase in benefits. Your dad does have a good point in that a $1000 system can still be fairly high-end and perform very well in in DX10 games (or DX9 games).
Ah, I see. That' okay by me. Well after a few more builds, you'll begin to learn what's what and what methods work and don't work. Also you'll end up learning what problems may arise during a build and how to solve them.
OEM, Original Equipment Manufacturer, simply means you only receive the product. There will be no manual, drivers, or box included with the purchase of the OEM product. DIYers almost always buy OEM (unless they feel retail is warranted). It saves us money and we get the same product as retail. Thrawn, Your "future computer" will handle SupCom very well. No need to worry about insufficient memory, incapable processor, or not-powerful enough video card. At this point, your "futur
I play it regularly. Add me if you wish: Acreo_Aeneas I normally only play on my community's server: Tactical Gamer.com BF2142 Conquest Server.
What about non-clan gaming communities? Are we welcome as well?
Hmm, I find the repair stations balance out the game more. In addition, they become very useful when you have a small defensive fleet and you are taking on a larger invasion fleet. I've also noticed that some ships will take hull damage but not shield damage (dependant on the type of weaponary used upon it).
