Are there any simple replacers for SINS ship models? Im not talking about TC's, or mods as such, but just plain old simple models. You know, just something that makes your capships and frigates look like SW, ST. Babylon 5 or w/e floats a modders boat, but otherwise leaves the vanilla game alone. Yes, I can see there are mods that seem to feature new models, but they always come with some kind of extensive mod attached. I dont necessarily need that, but some ship model replacer

Ah yes, I see now that there basically 'npc' factions. At this point im still learning how the game plays out. I Imagine the AI has to clear these 'npc' AI just like I have to, however I will freely admit I am(at least for the time being), not able to expand anywhere near as rapidly as the AI does. Or to put another way, Im sure the AI spreads more efficently than I do, and I suspect the advantages pretty much every 4x game gives the AI means the npcs are much less of an impediment for them tha
Can anyone here explain what gameplay purpose is served in this game by haveing (some) units AI *always* camping out in every.....single..... unclaimed star system when you start a new game?. Now, im pretty sure every single 4X game ive ever owned or played does NOT have a random assortment of hostile enemies camped out right next door to your starting base. ATM I am playing maps with no pirates, yet every star has (Always Hostile) enemies in large or small #'s that have to be cleared o
