Also, the sound levels get reset. I only notice that because I like to change the balance to reduce the volume of some of the more unpleasant voice overs. Each time I re-load, this has to be done.
That second one is a well known bug.
Thank you, didn't know that.
It surely has to be added as an option later on?
I like the OP's ideas. The Coronata is by far the weakest Titan IMO and I feel sorry for the poor little psychic people inside who are going to die real soon. At least when its rebuilt, those psychic people will still be able to contribute via sustained experience [e digicons][/e]
I have had similar with regard to the AI putting too high a priority on homing mines. It's like, once they have used them to build up defenses, they don't know to switch.
Went to play game and it has set the updater going!!!
So is this 1pm American East Coast time? Is that 6pm UK?
Yeah but commonly, online reviews take games at release state, not 3 months down the track. The more we can help the Devs get it as close to right as possible before the release, the better for everyone.
There are 2 weeks left to the final release. I think the next patch will be the final release...
That would be disappointing. They have addressed several key balance issues internally. That should be released so the community can get onto the more finer balance issues.
I bet they are already working on Sins2 64bit and have some sort of internal TEC demo (pun intended).
The problem is, like someone has already said, SP and MP are very different animals. I haven't invested any time in MP in Sins, sadly. I like to win against overwhelming odds of a cheating computer, refining my strategies, but taking breaks and using the pause button a lot also... If I went online, corvettes would be a nightmare and I would be pissed at it. As it stands now, they make a nice supplement to my fleet, nothing more, nothing less. Maybe one day I'll take th
I'm a big fan of capital ship class/sizes that reflect how our navies are made up. So I like this!
Bit of advice for you: Build the starbase deeper in the system (or have it sat there without "attack all in system" on for Vasari) Place other defences ahead/around the starbase so they may get attacked first Never build one uber fleet of doom, even as Vasari. Have an "alert fleet" in reserve, either in your major choke point or on the edge of a nearby system Scout more, especially before leaving a choke point undefended Hope that h
So what's the build order for that?
I've had over 100 before, but that was pre BETA3.
Weird, so are people rushing Orkies in MP? Late to the party again.
I know this is totally obvious to everyone else, but how do you abandon a planet? Do'h, figured it out. Now it would be great if I could delete the post!
I actually shouted out "YES!!!!" when I saw the announcement
I ran around the house going 'yesssssssssssssss'. Thankfully no one was home to see me.
I know it's really obvious, but have you checked that you have the latest drivers and all that? I'm running Sins on a fairly old rig (2.4Ghz C2D, 4GB, Win7 64bit) and have had only 3 crashes throughout the entire public beta and have decent performance with everything everywhere maxed! So as Scudhawk alluded to, perhaps a latest hardware issue?
I never play on anything less than hard. The instance of my partner AI not building any frigates, they were aggressive. Funnily enough, when I went back to my game, immediately after building his titan, he built a shed load of frigates and fleet balance went to normal. Why am I calling the AI a he? *shakes head*
Not sure if this has been covered in the current patch. Played 3 games so far with the new patch. First one was a good fight with the nothing to report. Second was fine up until hour mark 9 when I noticed that one of the AI had over 100 scouts. Not the end of the world and could be a one off. Third game - so far almost no frigates being built!!! I don't know, maybe its because I set it to be a team game. My partner in crime has just finished building a titan to go with his
My only concern with the pirates is how they are out of the game within about an hour against the AI. Novalith make them go bye bye. Other than wanting to make the Pirates tougher (capital ships, maybe even a Titan - lol okay just kidding on that one), I just want their base to become a non viable Novalith target. If the Advent super weapon is useless against them, so should the TEC's. How else am I going to get cheap target practice for my capital ships to train on?
No, he's right. The auto casting isn't going off. This isn't a big problem for us humans, but does cause a serious problem for the AI.
I've had inconsistent results with the latest patch. Some of the early battles have been genuinely good and have caught me out, requiring me to react to the AI for a change. This isn't always the case though: as the last game they became relatively brain dead after about 90 minutes.
