The serial # will be in the e-mail, and it will automatically be attached to whatever e-mail was used for purchase and show up under "My Games" when you have Show Pre-Release Versions checked.
Okay, this didn't happen for me. I have an email from Stardock with an order number saying it is being processed, but no sign of one with a serial number, and no sign of an attachment.
But most discussion's ive read in forums all dev's refer to a thread as a core, and from my programming if I make a program multi threaded (2 threads) it runs on 2 cores... It's how ive been taught, its what I understand/beleve. Education is different in America as to what it is here.
Hate to say this, but threads and cores are totally different. You were taught completely incorrectly. I also have programmed for multiple cores, and one of my current projects is th
From a game designer's perspective, it's probably a lot easier to design the AI for this. Pathfinding especially can suffer on huge maps for most games.
Well, if I'm remembering my business class correctly, there are about three phases any product goes through, and Sins is in the first one. The market hasn't saturated yet, and after that it'll go through a period where it's still popular. After that, the market loses interest and sales decline. So it's going to be a while. That being said, just save up some money. $40 isn't that much, and you should be able to create that much quickly. Do some odd jobs for people, or put aside a bit of
If you've played GalCiv2, think of them as the minor races . . .
Should be no troubles if you have a decent amount of memory. Once the game is loaded, it should stay in memory anyways and shouldn't go out to the hard drive for anything. It should only affect your loading time. FYI, unlike IDEs, SATA has a specification for external drives, and some motherboards have external connectors for connecting external SATAs. It's just not very common to see them. But yes, it should work, I don't see why there should be any troubles. Unless you unexpe
My Bad...There for a second I forgot I'm just the customer. I keep forgetting there's all these folks in the middle telling me what I want to buy. I guess they're telling you guys what you can sell, too.
Yeah, and from a recent incident where Microsoft was forced to make some of their emails public, it appears that it's the norm in Microsoft to pay much more attention to these "folks in the middle" rather than their real customers. Yeah, I think it's pretty silly
Perhaps consider saving up for an upgrade? Low end 8 series cards are pretty cheap. You can get an 8400 or 8500 for less than $50. My 9600 will run the demo of the game at full antialiasing and full detail with no signs of slowing down, and costs less than $200. So far, I've had no issues with it.
I think Hertston is talking about game play more than graphics. So we're back to the gameplay vs graphics argument, which has been discussed a million times on pretty much every game forum in the universe. I like both Sins and GalCiv 2. Both will hold my attention too long if I'm not careful. Graphically, the only thing they are missing are more shaders. Specular shaders and bump mapping have been standard features in games for years. Today's games will heap on dozens of shader
