I'm liking the camera changes :). It's nice being able to get a closeup of even the smallest ships now! I don't play multiplayer much, but I'm kinda liking the carrier slowdown; it means my carriers aren't sitting in front of the battles as often anymore. One of the bad habits the AI seems to have with the carriers is the tendency to pull them to the front lines along with all of the other capital ships. Problem is, that kinda kills the reason why I build carriers in the f

Frankly, I'm wondering what the big deal is with people sticking to IE6. Why not upgrade to IE7??
Flat out, I don't have the money to spend to try games.
Then don't try the games.
After two weeks, I’m still trying to figure out some issues with Sins and Galaxy Forge.
Are you trying it with Entrenchment? I don't think it's compatible with Entrenchment yet.

Relax, t0nedude - your email probably just got corrupted or something weird like that. Just follow T-Man's directions and you should be fine. Stardock has great support. . . . and be nice to the frog. He runs this place . . .

I'd agree with Frogboy: Diplomacy. In particular, do something about those one-sided missions AIs like to give you. I'd like to be able to give the AIs missions as well. Sometimes it's annoying when they give you missions against a specific enemy, but you've got bigger fish to fry and don't have the resources. It would be nice to make a counter-proposal or even outright say "no." My opinion? Revamp the mission system. Mak

Vista 64 bit, Sins runs fine with iTunes. Sorry, can't reproduce the problem. BUT - if you're running XP, then the comparison is poor because they rewrote the audio stack in Vista. What OS are you running?
Yuk - C++. About as ugly as Java, but not quite.
In all honesty, that's the language most games are created in. Gamers are quite picky about performance, and C++ is closer to the machine than most other languages and can really deliver that performance. The APIs for DirectX are also pretty much built assuming they'll be used with C++ (and were likely written in C++ themselves). Ugly? Maybe, but it's the best tool for the job, and that's what counts.

Looks like there's a workaround and Skype is aware of the issue . . . . and it's a problem wiith using fullscreen games in general, I just noticed it in Sins first.

It seems that Sins conflicts with the latest version of Skype. I don't know if it's possible to fix, since Skype may be forcing the issue, but whenever I have Skype open, Sins keeps minimizing every time I try to switch to it. The workaround is to use windowed mode, but I've always preferred my games full screen.
I don't like mines. They just bog the game down. The computer goes crazy with them makes 1/2 a planet system filled up with them.
3. Impulse. Sins is Linux compatible. Impulse isn't. You aren't going to bother with making Impulse Linux-compatible. That means that the people wth Linux will have to get their patches and micro-expansions some other way. Like through piracy. I would say that the compatibility is more accidental and not so
