hehehe...the SINS hotline for girlfriends and wives will be up next week.
So your home number?
well for one, if the girlfriend has a problem with you playing this constantly, dump her sorry *ss. it took me many years to find the one that tolerated my obscene video game habit. they are out there.
Sadly, this guy is absolutely correct, and I still haven't found one. I like video gaming. You like vid

A save/reload wouldn't help a memory leak. Generally nothing short of a reboot (flushing volatile memory) will 'cure' a memory leak. Chances are what you're seeing is some sort of game cache filling up, perhaps your pagefile?
The Scifi channel?
IIRC the "longest route" is the shortest route between your two farthest-separated, linked, trade centers.
Sounds horrifically imbalanced.
Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I'd like to see something like a copy feature in the map builder on stars, so we could create one star system (including planets and contents), then simply copy that system to expand the universe. I'm trying to create a map that has something like 15 stars, and I want each one to be similar to each other. It seems awful time consuming to have to go into each one and create
I'm disappointed in the limited length of capital ship names :(
You know your game is balanced, when the fan-base can't agree on what is overpowered or not.
That's not true, at all. In almost no game will you find people who agree on what is imbalanced, partially because people who are USING the imbalance are going to, obviously, fight against it being fixed. People said the same thing about World of Warcraft and Battlefield 2 - everyone thought something else was imbalanced. Did this
On the preview, wait a few minutes - the AIs will send out a ship eventually and you can see just how long it takes.
The phase lane length in custom maps is dependent on 3 factors. 1) Phase lane length - from my experiments this actually has the LEAST effect on the length. 2) Map Size - The second biggest contributor to length. A larger map size will make the solar systems more spread out. 3) Orbit Distance - the most important factor. Cutting this down will dramatically slash the length of lanes.
If you had any respect for Yahtzee at all you would know how much he HATES recommendations and wouldn't bother him with this.
He hates FANS telling him what to review. I'm pretty sure if Stardock threw The Escapist a copy he'd be obligated to do one...
Catching lasers mostly.
No copy protection is kind of relative. Stardock, being the publisher, has a good infrastructure in place that allows for a certain leeway against illegal distribution.
Stardock is a company first and foremost, and I have reason to believe that in their experience, copy protection secures absolutely no fiscal advantage that overcomes the outrageous costs of licensing said copy protection in the first place. As Brad has said before about GC2, copy protection is always
I'm playing on Pandemonium, trying to earn the 'TEC civic research only' achievement and some others (culture and no fighters) and I've run into some serious problems. I control about 3/4 of the system, including 2 desert, 2 terran, 2 asteroid, 1 ice planet and 2 metal extractors in asteroid belts. red controls a volcano world which is overrun by insurgents thanks to my culture but which I can't take because the insurgents attack me when I show up
It'd be wise for the AI to dedicate a tiny force in such an occasion to wiping out 'building' structures, as it only takes a few shots.
http://www.autodesk.com/maya About as close to ship builder you're going to get, sadly :(
The AI tends to be a little TOO choosy. I mean, if a force jumps in that at a glance I can tell will wipe me out, I'll probably retreat. If the force is larger, but not MUCH larger, I'll stick it out for a bit. If the force is much larger but I'm making significant headway and it will provide a strategic advantage if I win, or at least bloody them a bit, I'll fight. The AI seems to calculate how 'close' a battle is too accurately. I can't calculate numbers lik
I know, I was there. Just meant that I don't remember which of the 2 made the statement. We both say it every chance we can but Craig had dibs on the "don't treat them like criminals" line this time
I think your benefactor ha
Your gravity wells be damned! If you can't make it out, the planets are practically right on top of each other. The phase lane connects from the 'right' edge of my planet to the 'left' edge of the neighbor planet (note the galactic plane). This o
3) Some combination of 1 and 2
^ Obviously larger galaxies should have bigger fleets, but The problem really is the 'slippery slope', which 'scaling with planets' may induce. That is, once a player starts losing, they simply cannot actually fight back, as the balance was tipped and it's inevitable.
I think introducing more speed options as per original post is the way to go - once this is done - ICO should start introducing clan support... Perhaps even ladder of some sort... Anything really that will kick start claning initiative since this game has HUGE potential for EPIC clan wars! Ugh, competitive online gaming - absolutely ruining every game since 1991
i cant believe it. you are complaining that a unit which is purely designed to counter fighter/bombers is able to blow up fighter/bombers?! thats the role of a flak frigate. i also reported your post, thats realy inmature to call someone a idiot or douchebag just because he made a valid point! there are NO other units that can attack fighters/bombers at all. if the enemy has some flak frigates, than blow them up first, by using your attack frigates/cruisers o
Actually, I agree with your points. Maybe flak frigates ARE a bit too efficient. But lashing out and calling everyone a douchebag isn't helping you sound credible.
So far 'everyone' is just one person - I save my e-wrath for those that deserve it ;) I understand your point, but I'm not going to change - I've been trolling morons for a decade. Maybe I should stop taking stupidity as an insult, but then I'd be bored.
[Much angriness] Swearing doesn't help anyone. If you stay polite and rational, the devs are more likely to take your complaint seriously.
Making stupid, contentless posts rife with ignorance based solely on reading the topic title alone doesn't hurt a thread any less than someone calling them out on being a dolt does.
Flak frigates exist to shoot down fighters, it's not an "imbalance." Trying to fight flak with fighters is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.
What a worthless post. Name a single other unit in the game that directly neutralizes a defensive structure, a cruiser-class carrier and best of all a capital ship *AND* does so for che
