I have had it working all this time so I know it works. In fact I have not had any issues with Vista 64 or Sins in the year that I have had it. My sins is in drive D: but yes I cleared both. Though I didn't erase the AppData folder until after the last install attempt. I can erase them and try it agian, it is just that it takes a long time to download and install it so I was hoping for something better then try again. Thanks for the re

As another beta is out for Entrenchement I went to install it. However you have to uninstall first. (VERY BAD, ITS A HUGE DOWNLOAD!) OK no problem, so I uninstall and reinstall. Then I go and try to play and I get an error "The procedure entry point RepoRtEventW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll". So I went ahead and uninstalled and removed the folder and reinstalled the game again, (Another HUGE DOWNLOAD) but I get the same error.&nbs
The scouts like to search a bit and then bog down in keeping intel on the explored systems watched. I wish we could set them to explore the map as a priority and then update intel on systems.
I'm not sure if this works, but try selecting your desired fleet leader, then without deselecting the leader, select all the other ships that you want in that fleet. You have to hold the shift key down to select other units. Then you have to select them either one at a time or type at a time. One at a time is fine for small fleets like the ones I use. Since my fleets only normally have 4 or less ships in it I just click on
Some people mentioned mods, is there a way to mod out fleet autojoin either globally or for ship types? Yes, each ship entity file has a line for the default autojoin behavior: autoJoinFleetDefault TRUE To turn it off, just set it to FALSE. You will have to do it for each ship, though.
Thank you!
I too am having serious problems with fleet auto join. I came here to find out how to turn that useless feature off. Well at least I can do it for individiual ships. Sigh. Actually instead of a global auto join switch, we should be able to click on a button on the factory and turn it off for that factory. Just like the auto cast buttons for abilities. As already meantioned if setting the rally point of the factory to a fleet would work as well then that
I have the same problem on my system. Mine is Win Vista 64 on Phenom 9850 Quad running at 2.5 GHz with 8 gigs 1066 ram and two 9800 GTX with SLI (also set to single GPU for sins.) running at 1680 X 1050. Mobo is Asus M3HT Delux with Mempipe. (Not actually using mempipe ATM) Oddly my gamming laptop (Model: Gateway P-173XL FX) wasn't having any issues with multi play so I copied the save game over and the performance boost was very noticable. My laptop shouldn't be abl
The other day we were talking about the Hadron Collider (however we spell it.) and I pointed out that on the off chance it created a black hole that sucked earth up, some aliens out there would be like wow they totally just noobed themselves!
When I first tried making worm holes I was connecting them to normal systems. They have to go to worhole systems only. What you do is make a phase lane first, and then click on it, then change its type from phase lane to wormhole. I don't know much about what you are doing exactly so I coverd the basics just in case.
