Eville can you post an update on the status of your work if you don't mind? Just curious as the home page post was Jan 28th and the forum postings don't seem to be showing much .

Indeed. I believe what'll be required is whoever uses your maps will need Uziis mods and then you make your maps as you would in forge (default terran or whatever). You'll manually need ot go into it via texteditor and change planet types to ocean/forest etc for the relevant planets. If you make the maps I wouldnt mind helping go through and altering the mapfile via txt.

I posted this in SW Mod but a repeat: For those unaware Uzii made a few great planet mods (Oceanic, Urban etc) I think these would fit great for star wars maps/mods as it would allow more realistic depictions (Endor, mon cal, coruscant). I'm not sure how it'd work just yet to dictate in forge a planet is oceanic and the like but i'm sure its easy enough after some tinkering. If I figure it out before hand Ill be sure to pass it on.

Mmm i think its important to note what ManSh00ter said. It'd be wonderful if Forge had a cropping ability so once could make one master map but then later crop sections to become sub maps of a sort for online games that want to utilize 'smaller' arenas. Also I think the map while a wonderful thing isn't as important as gameplay. As EvilleJedi pointed above he was interested in sector maps and frankly one only needs a few maps to begin truly play testing the new game mechanics of the m

Agreed with Loup. I myself am not a great graphical person but coding and such im good with. I figure the SW/ST/BSG mods have enough coders/graphic workers already hence why I haven't volunteered for those or been too vocal on the boards. Robotech though is a personal favorite and if one could confirm animating models i'd be happy to jump onboard and help mod.

Eh. Im pretty sures omeone is working on a mod for a more carrier based game style. You could always tweak the races and cheapen/weaken carriers some and then just apply skins. SDF could have zero weapons and one special ability to fire its 'main cannon' for instance and so forth. I myself haven't yet looked into modding SOASE so I can't say more than that but from what I've read its quite easy to increase fighter/bomber numbers in a squadron and the amount of squadrons on said carriers...If any
