LMAO, only 600g. Didn't they recently bring out the 1TB ones? You must not be a real fan, or you'd have gotten the extra 400GB ages ago as every little KB counts when you got a whole net full of porn to download P.S. Sorry if this is a bit off topic I just couldn't help myself...

rofl... you beat me to the punch I totally agree with this, lol, only time I ever send my entire fleet at enemy systems is when I'm getting bored of the game, lol. Also about what momo said about ships being modular, and Spartan said it would be some sort of racial. I can honestly see the Vasari having an

lol, yeah lord I agree with you, homeplanet should have rudementary defenses, even if only the vasari and advert get them, as the TEC disbanded all their weapons. But the Vasari and Advert definately, one is running from a super powerfull force so it stands to reason that the moment they colonize a planet they would have defense platforms in orbit, maybe even before they colonized the first planet in that system. The other is comming back from exile and I would think have no idea of being caug

I would rather you could not build stations at stars since it would make invasion much much harder. Dead asteroids yes, as currently they don't serve any real purpose other then the occasional artifact site or as a intergalactic speed bump. Ahh, but if what Wedge said is also included and you need to controll all connected planets/asteroid to build anything at the star, or that you need to control the entire star system to build something there

While were at it, there sould be some type of stations or something that you can build at a star, you know, instead of heavily defening 3 - 5 gravity wells you could build your defenses at the sun. Then it could be taken even further by saying if you jump in, for 5 seconds, solar activity blinds your sensors, meaning that if you jump a scout in and it gets blown up, you don't necesarily know who blew it up. This woul make protecting star systems easier and also add some more difficulty to inva

Sounds interesting definately something worth looking at. I didn't mean a mod though, just a custom ship slot where everyone could have a unique ship, thats not overpowered, thats unique to their playing style. I will defenately look at the modding aspect of the game and I am pleased that you would consider my idea for a future build. I was probably a bit too enthusiatic to suggest an idea like this could be implemented before launch. It would be nice to see this in the game at some later st

Ok, first and foremost, let me say that so far I've found the beta incredibly fun (Despite that little no-fun rule) and really couldn't ask for more from a phase 1 beta. That said, this is not something I want implemented anytime soon, possibly in a late beta or something just before release, but it is something I think will make the game more enjoyable in endgame and hey, perhaps they already have something like it in there. As the title suggests, I would like a few custom ships in th

ffbotha...if an AI's bounty is high enough...their nice neighbors start attacking. It's part of their programmed relationship response that we call diplomacy. lol, I know this, I was just making a joke.

lol, bounty isn't for making the AI fight amoung themselves, it's for multiplayer so that you can show your friends just how much you care about them. Will be trying culture too, sounds like a nice touch.

Lol, I'm sure if you can't get a totally connected universe you can delete phase space altogether and implement a 'jump drive' into the ships, this would work the best anyway. But even though it wouldn't make the mod seem as if you were playing a game designed around those series, lets face it, lol, the game isn't designed around those series'. Not saying a good mod can't be made, but even with the phase lanes it would still be a good mod. Cause no matter which game I have ever played, if I g

lol, the Vasari and Advert will probably have something along the same same, the Advert sounds like they would be able to extract resources from even the harshes conditions as they make their home on a desert planet and the Vasari would probably be able to extract it at a relatively faster rate as they are on the run from something. This might mean that the Vasari gains resources fast, thus allowing them to expand faster and the Advert can extract more resources from an asteroid, alowing them t

All great idea, but it's missing one crucial part. Yeah, experimental units for endgame would be fun, but wouldn't it be better if we got a ship editor outside of the game and it allowed us to build our own super unit. The editor coulod be like that of GalCiv2, give you a selection of a ew hulls, give the hulls a cap as to what can go on them, and then let you go wild. The price of the units would obviously be scaled based on what you put onto the hull, just so that those of us with a bigger

Just tested it and it is possible to be invincible permanently. This can even be automated after about two minutes. While this can be a very effective defensive strategy, the fact that you can't attack either can be your undoing very easily. While I haven't tested this I'm sure someone can use an EMP to disable your cruisers as you need to wait for the ability of the previous cruiser to expire, then the next one can be activated. Since the AI doesn't use this strategy and I haven't seen them
