I think that some people just want their starbases to do all defending for them so they can just sit back and relax and forget about it - automated perfect defence. They are not ultimate planet defenders but kind of delay machines, in the end of the day it is your work to place them in good positions so you you have enough time to call your fleet from the other part of the system to bolster your defences. Just my 5 pennies,

Well it's not so bad. I am definitely joining the community. I have to get entrenchment though (god thanks its only £6.11). :)

I'm willing to play vanilla as well but I don't have any experience online. I want to stay but i would like couple of practice games just to get a idea what's going on. I'm kinda shy to ask on chat :P.

Ok i will start playing mp with you guys, but you have to understand that i need a lot of practice..and have some patience because i'm far from being a good player. So +1 player on IC. My nickname is test3CPOTEMP or something like that. I love this game and i will stay regardless of bugs/imbas. I'm running on v1.17 will get entrenchment soon.

it's funny how people develop strategies in this game, i mean wow who could say that scouts can be so deadly weapon...does it work with A.I?
