Wooo! Harpo you are a saint, it seems to work nicely now. Thanks...Ill be sure to post again if I run into any difficulties. And of all the folders they picked to move maps to for Entrenchment, they had to pick the most obscure one possible.
Sarcasm_
sarcasm which version of sins, which version of galaxy forge? the reason I ask is that sins only knows the map format from the related galaxy forge version is sins 1.00-1.03 use galaxy forge 1.01, sins 1.04-1.09 use galaxy forge 1.05, sins 1.10-1.14 use galaxy forge 1.1 & sins 1.15-1.16 & entrenchment 1.00-1.02 use galaxy forge 3. the changes to the editor are due to changes in the map format. I have written a utility to update from older map formats to newer map formats
Hmm, trouble. My map refuses to show up in game under any circumstances. I have browsable set on, and it does not appear in any of the Small, Medium, or Large galaxy menus, nor does it appear under the GalaxyForge menu as one would think it should. It is a 5 player map, does the game require you to have an even number of players to be playable? Help would be neato, yay.
Too bad for China, if they ever want to be considered an equal in the capitalist and democratic world their going to have to give their people more freedom Which translates into nothing, because I'm sure the Chinese aren't spending much time worrying about how democratic they look to everyone else. It's no incentive to change.
Yes indeed, it's a matter of starting with an idea and then making it practical. Maybe not black holes, but you seem to have ignored the possibility of putting maelstroms, suns, or any other sort of violent space phenomena in. Hell, make stuff up - I'm sure we haven't discovered every potential entity in space, so be creative. Phase lanes are not creative. They are derivative and boring, precisely because they have been done before and make things arbitrarily narrow.
I think the whole argument here is resting on the wrong terminology. I don't have the beta, but given the descriptions I've seen/read I have to agree with the proposed overhauls here. More importantly, it's not a matter of realism as it is a matter of authenticity. Sticking a bunch of planets in a big cloud and linking them with cute little lines might make it easy from a gameplay perspective but it makes it lame from an authentic standpoint. I'm not asking for anyone to come out with s
Too bad universities don't have snow days. Good thing university students get to pick which classes they attend. Take your own snow day Shh, they can't feel sorry for me if you interfere!
Too bad universities don't have snow days.
Well, don't come to Boston. Big string of shooty-shooties lately. Like 17 people dead in three months. I know, I know, we New Englanders are all doom and gloom. Detroit has lots of cars, if you're looking to pay homage to your ancestors or whatnot. Probably muscle ones too. Not really a safe place either, though. Oh well, gotta take risks in life, am I right? You could always go to the Hamptons. Not guaranteed to be an affordable outing, however. edit: also, don't go
Beam me up, Scotty.
Oh, too good for us proletarians, great imperial majesty?
Hmm, I kind of want a beta now...
That IS real, you just don't have a good enough video card to see it in all of its glory. As for me...wow.
5 or 6 more threads oughta do it...but do the Gods really want Schematicsninjas? You underestimate their ability to suddenly rise up and multiply. And yeah, the gods don't discriminate, we're all just mortal flesh to them! And for some reason this thread posted twice...oops. Forum was being tempermental when I submitted it so I guess it went through twice. Twice the fun!
Just FPS games? What economic system do you live under that allocates different prices to video games depending on genre? Or are you just a game racist !?
Every time a new thread is created with the word "Beta" in it, we can make posts here guessing what the next highly-anticipated beta-affiliated thread will be titled! Jugding by the current influx, it will be just endless fun indeed! Also, each time a new thread is created, we will sacrifice one (1) incarnation of SchematicsNinja to the forum deities! Sorry, but we have to find some way to keep them appeased until the next Beta version comes out. Might as well use the leftover bo
The League of Servile Objects is currently looking for new members!
Q:How long will it take YOU to download Beta1? Approximately 0.0 seconds. For an android sir, that is nearly a lifetime. Because, well, I won't be getting it!
Looks like Plan B is working.
Can I form an opposition group? Well, I guess that isn't something one usually asks before doing.
Dammit, I can't even think of a witty response.
My vote goes to TheGreatEmperor being the clone ninjas. Sounds kind of like the plot for a sci-fi C-movie. Oh, umm...I'm back!
Whew, been away for a while, and this thread has taken a new direction. Back at school now, so I have a lot less time to respond. I think the space age will undoubtedly be ruled by governments, at least for the beginning. It's a fact of life - every time a new venue for civilization opens, it is spearheaded by the military. The government wants to check it out to see if it can use it for its own advancement. That's how it is right now, too - all NASA astronauts are air force pilots.<br/
If you want a REALLY scary game, go play System Shock 2. Holy crap. Probably the greatest game ever when it comes to scare factor. The game is so well crafted that the environment just seems scary everywhere, despite it being from 1999. Oh, such a good game, don't think it's in stores anymore, though. I liked F.E.A.R., I didn't think it was all that amazing, though. It was definately scary at times [assassins!] and that Alma chick is freaky, but most of it was just crazy ass ninj
