It would be a logical assumption.

How do you normally start your games off in order to ensure that by the end of the game your enemies are dead and the star systems(s) are yours?
cool. thanks blair and no offense to Tophat, but really its just a phrase. It gets the general point accross, no need for pointless bickering.
So I set a custom galaxy to 100 Planets spread between 4 galaxies, with 9 artifacts, and 10 Players (including myself). So I start, and I find out that all 9 AI are in the same galaxy that I am in. Two enemies' capitals are just one jump away from mine. I quickly ran out of logisitc slots on all my planets, and an economic disaster occured with little crystal and metal, and alot of credits. Was this just a one time thing or is it supposed to be overcrowded so it forces you to expand to other gal
I actually quite like it. It forces you to think more strategically. Just hope you dont end up in a galaxy of 27 planets with 9 other computer players.
Has anyone tried just attacking colony ships and then sending in the main fleet? I mean like 2-6 Colony ships with or before you send in your main fleet. They kill one they go after the other, all this time you could have built your colony while they are chasing the other 5 frigates, Im not sure if by that time they go and attack the colony, but if they continue attacking the colony ships then by the time all the colonys hips are gone you shouldve damaged most of their fleet and your colony shou
Yeah thats what I normally do.. I ussually have like 7 or 8 Frigate factories, and because the ships come out of the original, all the ones I build after it I build right next to eachother, right in front, to save space and all.
Ships have like some auto no-collide thing. So far all my ships just go over or beneath the ships in their way. If my Dunov* Support Cruiser wanted to go somewhere, and my Kol was in the way, the dunov would just glide underneath it. A flash-booom explosion would be nice. Or like one of those chain-reaction explosions. First one part of the ship has a small explosion, then another part, then all of a sudden.. BOOM! Huge explosion as the whole ship just completely is destroyed.
Im sure someone has already brought this up, but it would be nice if there could be like a "turbo" resource option. In some games that require a great deal of conquering and economy before going out to fight, they have the option that you get resources at a faster rate than normal, therefore allowing you to just enjoy the game for battles. Just a thought, it might also make multiplayer a more realistic concept... shorter games and all.
I installed stardock, and thats about as far as I got. I am lost on this thing, where do i go?? I have the serial number and everything, I have receipt, email, all that crap, and when I go to games the run/install/uninstall buttons are greyed out @_@
to me it seems they can be either vasaari or advent. They have a bluish colour so I want to think of them as advent, but they definetly arent tec. They arent big, squarish, and bulky.
is the tactics involved so great a deptph that if I circle the enemy battleship with my own hitting it from all sides and forcing it to turn etc will mine win with less damage than a head on frontal asault?
I like it, hope to see more of these as we get closer to the beta !
4 resources? 2? can one be converted to the other? Does money count as a resource?
if one player has built his defences right... even if you manage to get a front, you would probably do best to send the bulk of your fleet, since your in enemy territory with enemy fleets inbound in the next ten minutes?
can you attack ships while they're in jump? like when they're just coming out, but not completely stopped. Will their shields be weaker and easier to hit, or will we have no chance to stop the forward forces of a attack if they foolishly jump right next to my capital ship.
kk, thnx
17 lets hope i didnt waist my money... and did i hear someone say supcom sucks?!? i better tell my friend about that before he rushes off to buy it.
good, i dont have the time for long 4 hour battles that require my full attention i might play one of those on singleplayer, but only because i can pause it when i need to go somewhere.
what are the glowing green discs above the ship in the center? projectiles of some sort or a swift fightercraft perhaps?
