It has Intel graphics, and Nvidia. It's just not that new. Plus I'm using both cards to power the single screen at full resolution. Each one is not good enough to power the monitor on it's own at full resolution. (Mini) DisplayPort on my PC does not handle that resolution. I've looked up the PC capabilities. It's an old XPS. Sure, I could get a new PC for the price of the monitor, but as it's only for work (coding, web design etc) then it does just fine. Esp when you can work

Not really issues. More like configuration fun! :) Anyway Win10 Pro 21H1 (Os Build 19043.1826) Multiplicity is Version 3.57 Build 00103 on both machines. Although the Primary says 000103.km WindowFX is Version 6.12 I only thought WindowFX because it has the functionality to make non-active windows semi-transparent, but now you mention Multiplicity then that makes more sense. Basically when you leave a PC to move to another then the current active window on the

I’m using WindowFX on a secondary device that I use as an info wall (news, music etc). Nicely I use the option to make all inactive windows semi transparent so the wallpaper can be seen through. I also use Multiplicity to move from the secondary to the primary device. This is all great. However when I select a window on the secondary device, say to choose a music track, then the window becomes non-transparent. Again that’s great, but to get all semi transparent then I have

Yes. I have a spare machine and monitor that I use for a Plex server, but also as a portrait info device for my working day, music, news etc. I’ve configured it with Stardock software to make it look really nice. Now I’ve got it to the level I’m happy with then the mouse cursor looks jarring when I go back to the secondary monitor.

Thanks Basj. I've done some additional tests since posting and I think Start11 has stabalised now. From what I can see the issue with Windows repositioning out of FancyZones can be caused by an Explorer crash (due to Start11) or from locking/unlocking the PC (which is a FancyZones issue). Since completing my Start11 customisation, and not locking my PC while away from my desk (because of cats, so I'm turning the keyboard/mouse off instead), then I have not seen Explorer restart while I'm usin

I've been using Start11 for a couple of days now, and most of the time it's pretty good. Big improvement on Start10 when I tried it a few years ago. However I've noticed it crashes and restarts a lot. Most of this was when I was configuring my start menu to look like my old Win10 start menu. I previously used 3rd party software to get better icons on the start menu so needed to redo the icons for Start11. Not a problem, just use the "Pick custom tile image" option. This works most of

Is there a way to hide the mouse cursor when you leave a PC? I have a nice calendar view on my spare monitor running on my Plex server. However whenever I use come back to my main PC the mouse cursor stays at the edge of the screen on the spare monitor. It's a minor thing but is slightly annoying when creating a nice aesthetic.

Thought that maybe the case. Totally understandable. Nevermind duplicating the icons on both taskbars with left orientation pretty much is good enough, as all apps appear to the right of the middle, with the system tray to the left of the middle. I then pretty much just ignore what's on the left hand side of the screen. Workable until I upgrade my PC at some point. Thanks for looking into it!

I have a Samsung G9 monitor. It's one of those Ultrawide things and is basically 2 QHD (2560x1440 x2) screens put together to make a single 5120x1440 screen. Anyway it turns out my laptop can't power that with one port. As it's for work I don't really want to upgrade the PC just yet as it does what I want (coding/web design). Luckily it's still a pretty good PC and so has 2 video cards. I use both of these outputs (mini-DP and HDMI) to get the G9 to the full resolution. With a bit of

Still no problems with the start menu opening or showing blank tiles. However I do have a new problem. I'm not sure if this is a Start10 issue, or Win10 (updated itself a few days ago), but now when I use explorer from the start menu then most of the time it will not open until I open the start menu again. ie. open start menu. Click explorer. Start menu closes. Nothing happens. Open start menu again, and explorer appears without clicking anything. I pinned it to the taskbar, and it wo

Even though it's almost definitely the Win10 start menu, ever since I installed Start10, it's been fine. And I would definitely get a problem every second day or so, and it's been going on for months. The other option is that I had a Windows update a couple of days ago. I'll see if any problems re-occur. If all good at the end of the Start10 trial, then I'll uninstall it, and see if my problems come back.

Yeah I thought Tileconify might be the problem. Either that or some of the links are to network files that don't exist until my work VPN is fired up. Only thing is a lot of the time it appears to have no effect, and it works great. Mainly when I first fire up the PC in the morning, although not the only time. And restarting explorer.exe fixes it straight away almost every time.... And I mean really it's not the most unlikely thing to have network links that aren't always there. Plus why compl

I thought that might be the case, which is a shame, as I really like the Win10 style. It would be nice if Stardock did their own version, which would be more similar to the Windows 10 start menu. Maybe with a lot more configuration options, ability to skin etc. One app I do like to use is Tileconify, which is great for linking to pretty much anything and adjusting icons (eg. making them bigger than default). If Stardock did their own Win10 style menu and allowed that built in it would be grea

I've recently had a problem with the Win10 start menu, where I get blank tiles (normally only some, but sometimes all). Or the menu doesn't open. It can take maybe 10 minutes before the tiles show. I've tried pretty much everything I could find online except a full reset or re-install. It's a work machine, with everything setup just so, so I really don't want to do that. I mean it's a start menu.... c'mon.... This happens normally after a reboot, but can happen at any time. I'm guessing it wi

Ok, so sometimes on one of my computers when I boot up I get white areas on the taskbar. The main culprits are the start button and the button on the right that expands all the loaded icons (eg. volume control). Basically they have a box of white colour around them (I think using white rather than transparency by the looks of things). If I then run WB and apply the skin again then everything is fine. It happens on all the main themes I have used for a decent amount of time. I'm using W

I know what it is. It is the Drawer setting of a dock (ObjectDock Plus) on the bottom of the screen. The act of it sliding away causes the "All programs" menu to vanish but not the start menu or the sub-menu. If you turn off the Drawer setting of the bottom dock then it works fine. Hopefully they fix it because I quite like the dock to completely vanish apart from it's tabs. Cheers

Turn off the "drawer" setting of the bottom dock and it works fine. The routine that makes the dock slide away when it is a "drawer" for some reason gets rid of the "All programs" menu if it is showing. Keeps the start menu and the sub-menus but not the "All programs" menu for some reason. If you turn off the "drawer" setting then the problem does not happen at all for me. So they really need to fix that slide away functionality. Cheers

I have this problem and also thought it was Blinds. But it doesn't happen when I unload objectDock Plus. I think it happens when using a dock on the bottom of the screen that is configured as a drawer type ie. it slides away out of sight when you move the mouse away. I noticed that when I go to click on the start menu then the dock appears (because go anywhere near the bottom of the screen, even if nowhere near the dock, and the dock will appear). Then when I goto the "All programs" option and t

Ok, so I unloaded Blinds (not uninstalled) and the problem still happens! Got me thinking though as this has only started since I bought Windows Blinds. As it happens I got the whole Object Desktop package and installed various bits. The main thing I have had a problem with is ObjectDock Plus. It has various issues when on the bottom of the screen when acting as a drawer type object. You know when it slides back down to only show the tabs? Well it's that. As you move to the start menu the Object

Sorry, was a bit busy. But in answer to the questions:- 1) If all 3 computers using the same skin? No. My main PC uses vista plus v2 or Azenis2. My laptop uses Azenis2, and the third one was using some pink effort (I don't use it) but it seems to have stopped with the problem (same with another 2nd laptop). 2) If all 3 computers using the same hardware configuration...specially the graphics cards. No. The main one uses a 7800GT, the main laptop uses an ATI 9600Pro Turbo, and

When I click on the start menu and use "All programs" it will show the list of installed programs and menus, but when I move the mouse on the list to a submenu it will show the submenu and the main original menu (ie. it's parent menu) will vanish. This happens normally when I haven't used the start menu for a while. The sub-menu will still work, and if I use "All programs" again straight afterwards then everything works fine as it should. Leave a while and does the problem again. This happens on
