Yep, they were total suckups. They were fairly weak, being kept down by spies and whatnot. So the Korath had them nervous. After they sent me some ships, I decided to speak to 'em, and couldn't pass up the chance to ally myself with them.

My DL mega-event was a bit bizzare. They survived, didn't cause much of an issue. I made war on the Korath, and then the DLs started feeding me ships to help. By the end of the game, we were allied (I wasn't even evil...). Wanted to break my alliance with them, but because you can't bring up the DLs in the foreign policy window, I couldn't. :/ Oh well.
