I haven't checked to see if this was added or requested yet (sorry if it was on either count), but I think it deserves consideration. I remember that a lot of the fun of building a fleet in the game "Conquest: frontier wars" was that you you saw your ships being built from the inside out while they were in "drydock". It made you feel like your hard earned random-space-resources were being put to good use. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Cool.gif" border=0 align="ab

I disagree Well that just makes you wrong j/k... I'm not even saying I'm right, I just think as the game stands there has to be some sort of counter to having
I absolutely agree with this. It adds a sort of counter-ploy to the whole "economic attack" system. E.G. Someone puts a bounty on you, if you're able to repel it you get XP and the bounty goes down. As it is all you can do is put a counter-bounty on your enemy (whoever that may be) and hope that the pirates go after him instead. If this idea (which I think is a good one) doesn't go through, then there should be *some* way to lower the bounty; even something as simple as being able to p
*tears* I'm at work for another 5 hours!!! Wahh!
On a side note, I also love Douglas Adams and Frank Herbert too...
The Mote in God's Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle Yay another Larry Niven fan! Have you ever read "Lucifer's Hammer"? It's some of the best "end of the world" sci-fi ever written! Besides Niven, I enjoy almost anything sci-fi I can get my hands on; anything by Phillip K. Dick. I enjoy Philip Jose Farmer, Piers Anthony (although he's primarily
I love that idea! The concept of having moons orbiting planets, that is. You could add the ability to create a moon base (with a frickin' laser beam...you could then call it the *quote hand gesture* the death star *end quote hand gesture*... ... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Hmm.gif
It all made sense to me, and I agree totally with both of you. Right now what qualifies as the overall "starsystem" seems kind of off, and it does seem like you're jumping from "island to island" as you say.
What on earth does that have to do with the topic Danielost?
Something that has kind of been nagging at me during my 6+ hours of playing this game (shaping up to be an *awesome* game ) is the fact that whenever you enter a system you immediately know the location of every building/ship/resource in that sector. It just seems to ruin any sense that you're actually "exploring" that system. Obviously exploration is there on a galactic level: going from system
The forum ate my post so I'm going to have to summarize it quick My initial impressions, having not been involved in Beta 1, and only having an hour to play the tutorials before heading out: 1) wow. 2) A very beautiful game, well organized and thought out. 3) The transitions when selecting between different objects were a bit jarring, are there plans to smooth that out
Darn, I'm at work. >:O Oh wait, that's how I paid for the pre-order in the first place...nevermind
