You know you play too much Sins when: 1:You try to scroll with your browser in order to see the rest of the "Galaxy". 2:You nicknamed your bitching girlfriend "Cerebri". 3:You try to explain to everybody that jumping to a wormhole without sending a scout first is a bad idea. 4:You ransacked your house in order to find that last artifact. 5:You don't go to Wal Mart anymore because you don't want to support the TEC. 6:You are paying the sc

You forget that Sins ain't a pure 4X and it ain't a pure RTS either. What you ask is simply too difficult (if not impossible) to implement in an RTS as Sins, can you imagine having 8 A.I.s (as you mentioned) all wanting a different planet from you? Those diplomacy options that you describe are simply too time consuming for an RTS. The missions system is the only way they could bring some aspects of 4X diplomacy within the limited time confines of an RTS. Initially they wil
So i sent the save game to Ironclad (i am pretty sure that they will come after me...eventually :P) Right then i found that the auto record feature was left on and it recorded the whole thing so i uploaded it on RS and here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/90117734/Cattle_to_the_slaughter.html Just put it at the "record single player" folder at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire and then
Well i am from Greece and i have to say that this game blew my mind, the only problem i had was the release date was exactly the same day the Uni exams started.
On an other note i think that the trade alliance must be tweaked so it can be offered only if you are at peace with a given player, so you have given permission to his/hers tradeships to trade with but you are still blowing them up?. No. Trade alliance in and of itself gives your trade ships "permission" to be there...
Correction, i meant you are still able to blow your
@ 1spartan, i do consider that the complete destruction of a fleet that consisted of 7 capitals and roughly 100 frigates due to this a serious A.I. bug. As for a save i do have the Auto save feature on and i am sure that the game saved during that particular fight but where do i send it?
Actually fleet tactics matter. The weapons on most ships are forward firing so if you manage to hit the enemy fleet from the flank or for better results from the rear you get a few extra shots without return fire that alone will give an edge to the fleet that hits from a flank. You will notice that the "tanks" (battleships, close range frigates etc) are always on the front of a fleet while the "damage dealers" with the support vessels are on the rear (LRM frigates, carriers, re
First of all i want to congratulate Ironclad (and Stardock) for creating such a great game :) if it wasn't for this damn exam period i wouldn't stop playing. Now to the point. I was massing my fleet at one of the Suns at the Dobbleganger map, pretty big one too, when one of the AI players (all of them set to Normal difficulty) jumps in its strike fleet in order to attack one of my nearby planets. At first i thought it would turn and face my fleet given that both fleets were
