Yes mate, I've searched. The entire internet in fact. It leaves me with an astounded chuckle. Microsoft has really put som sweat into hindering alteration of Vista folder esthetics. Sure, patience is golden, but I've just ran out of that quality.
Why is there no solution to adding custom backgrounds to folders in Vista yet? It seems to be utterly impossible. Doesn't anyone care? It's an awesome feature after all.
I'm completely baffled in the lack of information about skinning the left sidebar in Windows Explorer. All the folders are easily skinnable with backgroud images, and i DO know how to change the color (atleast) in the treeview window. But I really want to put background images in there. HOW can i do that without having to use fancy skinning progs?? (I only use StyleXP and none of those skins have bg images in the explorer sidebar). Is it even possible to do?
