What kills me is that EA Games is finally, finally coming out with good games, new IPs that aren't rehashed (Dead Space, I'm looking at you) and I still won't buy or support them because of draconian DRM. So they'll 1) scream about pirates and 2) stop innovating. Both bad for us as gamers.

WAR has PvP players in the bag, doesn't sound like KOTORMMO is going to pull that away. Would've preferred KOTOR III with internet multiplayer storyline, not as another MMO. Most people can only sink 15 bucks a month into one of those things without feeling dirty.

I like how our society is geared towards a mother being the only one who could possibly stay at home with the kids >_> That college education isn't wasted if the husband doesn't mind doing the kid-watching and the wife really wants a career. Now, to find a wife who wants a career so I can watch munchkins all day :D

To me, this shows 1) how sad party-line is 2) how sad it is we only have two parties to vote from 3) how sad both picks are this year. [ ranty political bit ] Vote third party, don't be a patsy. [ /ranty political bit ]

Oh, and Epic wouldn't release GoW 2 on PC because of the "ramapant piracy" Well guess what, Epic? http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/gears-of-war-2-leaked-on-torrent-sites Looks like your deicison failed hard.

The console version of Far Cry 2 was actually pirated FIRST. Epic games is anything but now - I forget to mention them in my list of blacklisted companies because all they release is Epic Fail now. And then they insult the PC customers that made them the company they are today? UT3 was a peice of garbage - there was nothing really new or exciting, just prettier graphics than the last generation. My friends and I still play UT2K4 but we didn't even keep the demo of

And these developers at Ubi Montreal can only make good games in that one studio? This may sound cruel, but as a consumer, I would rather the studio shut down and the developers go to places that don't use DRM than fund more DRM. Ubi Montreal is a seperate legal entity, but it was created by Ubisoft, is funded by Ubisoft, etc. It meets all the requirements in my opinion to be fundamentally the same overarching company. It's like trying to argue Warner Bros Studios is

Achivements in SP games = awesome. Achivements that reward you for playing your class PROPERLY AND WELL in mp games = awesome. Achivements that reward you for not playing like a proper team member in mp games = FAIL That's kinda my 0.02.

I played RA3's beta and I'll be honest - It is a shame, because it's easily the best RTS game that EA has put out. It's not annywhere near on the levels of Sins of a Solar Empire or Supreme Commander, though.

DRM never works as intended. If I were the companies that made the games, I'd be suing Sony over Securom not doing anything but pissing off my customers. Two different people I know are playing Far Cry 2 - one on the Xbox360 and one on the PC - and I'll give you a hint - their version doesn't cause them any problems, because they don't have DRM on them.

Well, the tumor that is DRM is malignant now. I've been boycotting EA games for a while now due to DRM - I would have bought Crysis Warhead and actually had a pre-order up for Red Alert 3 (I was a Beta Tester for it) but revoked the pre-order upon learning of the Securom on it. And now, add Far Cry 2 to the list. And everything Ubisoft makes until it stops releasing computer games with DRM like this attached. The wonderful thing is, each of these games which has lo

I honestly think DRM is less about piracy than it is about 1) Stopping the used game market. 2) Releasing terrible games based on hype, instead of people having the ability to play a game and then make an informed decision. To elaborate on 2) - when a company releases a demo, it is often the best part of the game. When they hype a title for months, a lot of thier money and prestige for the release comes from opening day. If by opening day the word is all ov

My problem Oleteach, is that people try to say that the Bible is all factual, not a sort of "guidebook how to be nice with some examples" but that it is all raw and factual, and in that way, Genesis falls short.

My comment: Sure, Obama is a socialist - I'll admit that. He sees the rich as "owing something" to the poor, which is not something I in fact believe in. But I think to a small point, a little Socialism isn't bad. The real fact is, we shouldn't be throwing it around for free - which is something Obama said that got me, I believe in his acceptance speech (which was drowned out by Palin being picked) where he stated he wanted to help people who work, not r

A large part of the problem with fixing problems with taxes can be summed up with this. Reducing taxes: Companies simply invest overseas/outsource. Increasing taxes: Companies lay off workers. Both sides are so horridly wrong it'd be funny if our country wasn't at stake. Raising taxes on corps doesn't help. Lowering taxes doesn't help. The Minimum Wage will not help. Corporate America will do whatever it takes to ensure that they make the most mon

They'll lump you in the undecided if you say "third party candidate", too. Ever notice how it's always "Red/Blue/Grey?" A lot of the grey in the pie charts are third party voters.

The only thing these debates have shown me is that both of these candidates absolutly suck. The fact that our choice is no longer "who is best qualified" but "who is going to screw things up slightly less" is pathetic and reflects on our two-party system. I've made my mind up - I'm not voting for either of these idiots.

Tourism and trade income needs to go up. I don't think the Yor need an economic building perse- but the idea of giving them a small economy bonus to the factories is more than appealing. I may have to do that tonight and see how it plays out. Normally I just tech-trade for the economy building techs - even though I shouldn't need to, I just enjoy the Yor too much (they're one of the few non-custom races I'll play.) I'd love to play the Korx more if those trade rout
