Aha, that returns the directory listing for my C: drive! What does this mean then? All I want the search box for is to be able to type the names (or part names) of programs to save hunting for them in the All Programs list.

Hi Stardock community, I believe I have the same issue as the OP. When I type into the search box in Start8 (latest version; 1.16), nothing happens. I get the 'Searching...' text replace my pinned programs but it never returns any matches, even with searches for Windows default program searches like 'calc' or 'notepad'. Likewise, when I type a program name like 'regedit' and hit enter the program does not load. Unfortunately

Hey there, Back from my trip. I've uninstalled and removed everything then started afresh. I now have Entrenchment working but there is still one last quirk that should be noted. If I right click the entrenchment icon and choose verify I get told that the app is not installed correctly. If I run the update and try again I still get warned that the install is not correct. However, the game loads and runs just fine. Just thought that was worth pointing out

AAAAAGGHHH!!!! I love almost all of the additions in Entrnechment but: I've just spent 4 hours playing a co-op game with a friend where we hit a stalemate with the enemy. We had no way of pushing forward because the AI enemy would just jump into a system drop a thousand mines then flee. The only way to remove the mines is to fly cap ships into them and wait for their shields to restore. But before the shields have restored there are more mines to clear!!!!! Please f

Sins and Entrenchment getting tangled on install in Stardock Games Stardock Forums

I've just formatted my machine down and reinstalled Vista Ultimate. I've installed Impulse and am trying to get Sins working. Prior to formatting I purchased Sins and more recently purchased my way into the entrenchment beta. Now with neither installed I open Impulse. Go to Install Sins on it's own and when it finishes it shows up as entrenchment. However when I run the game it's just Sins and no sign of entrenchment is there. Back in Impulse if I right

Here's my tuppence worth I have some UI questions which hopefully should be a sinch to add. 1. Can we have a research queue editor screen. Often, once your making sufficient funds, you'll have a pretty long list of queued up research items. I'd really like to be able to see the list of things I'm researching, have an ETA time for each and be able to change the order when my priorities change. Otherwise I have to go through and pretty much cancel everything in Military and Civic
