I disagree, you could stick to a basic loadout in Nexus and if you knew how to maximise your ships potential including manual movement for accurate disabling of subsystems, your one loadout-fits-all ship could be very effective. You are running Vista on a PC that I would have thought would have been unable to run Vista, and you are playing a rough beta of a game that has a lot of information and visuals constantly on hand. The description of your problem sounds like a driver issue, even if you were not using Vista, but you are so its almost gaurenteed to be a driver issue.
