I cant't bear the diplomacy thing, so i play locked teams. The AI keep asking you to complete silly missions such as crush your own allies or attack a faction who's in a far away system! The diplomacy is a crap and it has so little options (8!). A faction is an ally if you're completing missions for it ant you cannot give other's missions! I can't believe such a marvellous game as such a stupid diplomacy system! Please Stardock react! I've read posts from Stardock justifying the diplomacy, I can
Derringer-yo
I also dislike thz idea of genocide. Add that to the fact that a massively bombed planet could not be colonized again before a very long time. It's a real weakeness in soase and a non sense I want it to be changed. The Ironclad team did it to simplify but it's a major flaw. How can a population disapear? if a faction is overthrown they must be still there...
I'd prefer a more classic way: no more wiped out planets more like the new civ must deal with inhabitants of the former faction. It implies improvements to rise the allegiance and prevent unrest....
I'd like more diplomatic's options: - be able to give/receive ships from a faction - be able to build sell planets - the other factions not to be at war in the beginning but at 50% level I'd like in research/planet improvements: - time research that change with the size of the map - a possibility to greatly enhance logistic/tactics slots in a planet - bonus when one is the first to make a discover - wonders that give bonuses (not just artifacts but buidable)<
I'd like if ironclad would give us more diplomacy possibilities for example an ennemy who surrends or become a vassal, allies than can trade crystal/money/metal even ships why not be able to give a fleet to someone or received one?
see my post "allegiance problem"
Allegiance can be boost by a capital planet or broadcasting stuffs but is there any other way to increase the allegiance than that?
I wonder if it's not ketter to use the cruisers instead of marza
Actually the marza is very slow but useful against planet, maybe costs to much, Kols tend to take an awful time getting rid of a settlement
Nice ships!
Found one : 50%faster in the lanes! useful when fleet flies I can wait for them where its going!
Are Celo ships useful?
I've not even looked at the campaigns in galciv. Sandbox allow to play in a lot of different styles: not go there and take this place or build 2X or 8Z boring! Viva sandbox! If the ironclad team members have not made any campaigns they surely found it uninteresting so why change their mind now! I want more factions, more research, more ships, more maps, improvements...
I've been criticizing sometimes...but its for further patches... I love this game
I began with Sova powerful but is fastly overwhelmed. Kol are more powerful and resistant.
Why a campaign? In random single player maps you can have a lot of fun! I like not knowing where i am who my opponents are.... A campaign is usually something where you not granted access to all the technologies and weapons until the last missions! Non sense! In soase you're free. Do some people fear freedom? I like though more events in the single player games, different regarding the type of factions... Behavior more attached to biology (advents hate TEC... Vasari hate everyone.. so
What cruisers and frigates with all that?
Very good posts guys! I want to start a new game just to try your strategies!
Ok thanks I like Sova's too but the others?
I tend only to build Kol, are the others TEC Cap ships good? What improvements are the best for them and the Kol?
I got difficulties dealing with big Vasari's fleet? What are you countermeasure?
readers reviews
Only bombers? Are the fighters worth anything? And the gauss?
What are your most efficient battle formations? What ships to build at the beginning? What research to do first? Expand fast or build strong planets?
Point of your post?
