Only thing I disagree about is illuminators. Illums own BECAUSE they shoot multiple targets. The way that mitigation works, the most units focus firing on a ship, the less damage a ship takes. Mass illums shooting 3 targets each will do more overall damage than mass LRMs focusing on 1 target, simply because of the way mitigation retardedly works. So mass illums are actually great for taking on LRM swarms, in theory. However, like you said, LRMs do more damage, take less research, have more range

What hidden bonuses do you get from spreading culture? I know that vasari get damage bonuses, but what is the basic bonuses that you get? You used to be able to flip planets in beta but you can't do that anymore (only make them neutral), so what motivation do I have to spread culture?

Siege are fine imo and easy to take out, but phasing is definitely too fast, its nearly impossible to catch scouts

Pirates are awful and I wish they could be removed, gets rid of a lot of the strategy imo
I bought the game, installed stardock, registered, and see sins under my "purchased games" list, but there is no install button when I lick on it. Wtf? There is no "action" icon. And under installed it just shows --------- Edit: NM figured it out, had to show beta/prerelease.
