Anyone remember that game Strange Adventures in Infinite Space? It allowed you to jump to any star at any time, gave you a travel time based on distance and nebulae and black holes and whatnot, and worked perfectly. Granted, it was an adventure game, but with nebulae and other space phenomena, it did create a good system of terrain in space.

amen to suggestions, no more automation. this game has way too much automation; from ship combat to phase jumps. Note why I put "Automated" in quotes. It wouldn't be automation, just things to help move it along. It's hard to remember when new research options are open, for example.

Most good turn-based 4X games automatically develop your cities or colonies or whatever you're dealing with. I'm not as familiar with GalCiv as I am with the more land-based Civ, but I know that in the latter game research is done automatically and city improvements are worked on every turn. Perhaps to make Sins a bit easier to manage, this could be implemented in some manner. For example, in Civilization, a popup window appears whenever research is complete asking what technology you'd

I'm not sure if development is too far along to implement this, but I was thinking that perhaps moons would be an interesting dynamic to add to the game. They would not only extend the gravity well of a planet, but also, when colonized, would provide a fractional bonus to the planet's tax income. It would also be interesting to see if multiple players could colonize a planet and its moons, sharing a gravity well. Perhaps the owners of the moons could pay tribute to the planet's owner as long as

Pretty much every strategy game i've ever played has terrible diplomacy. "Alliances" last a few turns and then your ally turns on you for no apparent reason. For the love of mustard, please do not let this game fall into that pit. Kickass Single Player diplomacy would definitely set Sins apart and get it great reviews. I can't agree more. Some gifts to other factions should offer *permenant* bonuses to your relati

I've been perplexed hearing that my fleet was under attack at planets that, in fact, I had no forces orbiting. I then discovered that it was actually my trade ships that were under attack. Is there a possibility that a differentiation could be made when the game warns me?

All I have to do is click on the center view button and the effects appear. Then I move the camera and it's as if I turned off all the graphical effects. I can take some screenshots later, but I doubt they'll add to the explanation.

Anything that can be enabled in the "effects" menu (Planet elevators, asteroids, etc.) seems to only be visible when I center my view on a unit. The moment I move the camera away, the effects leave. Anyone else having this problem? NVIDIA Geforce 6600 GT Athlon 64 3000 1 GB RAM
