This was awesome. And I loved the screen shots.
...the Vasari Loyalists play very differently from probably any other faction in Rebellion. They almost go and do this Battlestar Galactica-style thing, where they decided they're going to basically pull up stakes and leave. In doing so, they go and decide to fight a war of attrition. A little teaser: They're not leaving planets behind them. Could this mean that
I thoroughly agree [e digicons]k1[/e]
Figures. If this is true about why the beta isn't released yet... [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] *edit* LOL
We were thinking of doing that, using Ironclad Online, but we had to create accounts and didn't get that far yet. We'll have to try that, thanks!
So a friend and I want to play multiplayer on Sins Diplomacy. We are trying to do lan multiplayer, but when either of us try and create a game, we can't see the created game in the "join game" menu. We've tried putting in each other's ip address, but that doesn't seem to work. We've also put Ethernet cables between our computers, but that doesn't help. Does it matter that we are playing on a very large LAN network? We also have the same version and no mods, so that is
LOL, I just thought it was the right thread to post on. A little late.
Spring right around the corner? Winter just began a week ago. =D They still have just under 6 months to release and still be in Spring.
I'll say. It still hasn't even snowed here in Nebraska. Well once long before Christmas. But it feels like spring now. So... what about the beta? Rebellion can't be more than 2 or 3 months from release.
I was reading something over on another form and I suddenly got an idea for an experimental weapon that would actually be good for the TEC. They already have a shield generator for planets, but let's face it, it's not that good. To bypass it, just destroy the generator. What if they had an experimental weapon that had an over-time ability that constantly fired at a planet to create a shield around the planet. Then you could protect your planets from further away. I think it wo
I don't know if anyone's covered this, but I found this when I was playing a game earlier. When you move your cursor over the repair button when you are the TEC, the words explaining what the ability can act on are not written in proper english.. Just saying, it might make someone think the game is cheap or something. It says "Must be not self" rather than "Must not be self" Nit-picky I know, but it caught my eye. http://
Quoting sulley1, reply 33If you bought a hard copy of vanilla sins and entrenchment, you would have a map. Entrenchment was never a hard copy. It was digital download only, same as diplomacy. I bought a hard copy of Vanilla Sins when it came out, the normal copy, not the collector's Edition or the GOTY edition, I didn't get a tech tree map with it, nor a CD with music. So you can't claim that if you b
Speaking of posters, I remember when I bough Civ 2 that there was a nice sized poster that had the entire tech tree and stats of common units. I could get behind such a poster for sins.
If you bought a hard copy of vanilla sins and entrenchment, you would have a map. Of the tech tree. And a cd with music on it. It's still a good idea though. Is this ever going to take off? Can we upgrade our pre-order
Banned for your ridiculous hair cut.
There are 706 pages to this thread. I think that's some sort of Guinness World Record. *Edit* 'Scuse me... 707 And why'd you just go piss on his parade? You stinking possum. (this is a joke for those of you who don't know)
Having some limiting element to creating Titans is definitely needed, but that will probably just come in the form of training crews. Not to mention everything about Titans is going to be incredibly expensive. I wonder if they'll be more expensive than the existing super weapons? They seem more powerful. Holy crap it's going to take a lot of time into the game play to get a Titan. Then again, there's something to do when you have all that money laying around and maxed out fleet po

For $100 I'd like to see in the CE: 1. A few decals for computer/whatever 2. Figurine of some ship (the vasari one sucking a planet dry would be cool) or starbase 3. Another figurine or two of the titains? Using super weapon to blow something up? :) 4. Poster 5. Cool box with modified cd box cover artwork 6. Whatever else you usually include in a Collectors Edition box. (certificate, etc.)
Very. And a collectors edition would be sweet. Will the box or cd be available for pre-order?
And now for something completely different: I'd like to see some way to interdict ships. basically, take the phase jump inhibitors and mobilize them and strength them. park them in the middle of a phase lane and it yanks ships out of phase space. Might be a good place to implement mines as well. I'd suggest making it an area affect so that vasari can get caught in it too instead of being immune as long as they make their own phase lan
What would you all do if the Vasari were running from a giant space monster? Either the Vasari are running from some sort of nano-based tech creation similar to the Replicators from Star Gate, or perhaps something that can manipulate anti-matter as a weapon, or perhaps something which can simply decompose matter seemingly at will and aborb it... So many ideas are out there, who knows...
Two t

So is the beta out? Is it included with the update to diplomacy I just saw on impulse?
Interesting but I doubt that will ever work. If a titan can go ahead and wreck an entire system of ships and structures by itself, the expenses for supporting such a ship will be prohibitive and not worth sacrificing the ship for extra resource that may be used earlier. My idea for the Titan class ship is to make them a "Dammit Rammit" ship. They should a mix of starbase and capital ship in structure and abilities.&nb
