There is an additional detail which you should keep in mind. Base production in mps cost 1 BC per mp while bonus production only costs 0.5 BC per hammer. Thus the extra production obtained with a power plant is at half the price. Also, since your spending on production (military+social vs. research) affects your base production changing the spending ratio can bring the GIMP above/below the 52 mp threshold. I bought GalCiv2 about a week ago and have been happily playing a few games. But now I start to see things that make little sense such as the fact that planets with a max population of 16 billion stop growing at 10 billion. This being with an approval rating of 80%+. I have read a few forum posts, checked the manual and the wiki site. But where do I find detailed and up to date information on the GalCiv2: Dark Avatar, version 1.6? The wiki is out of date, the manual is obviously wrong
