Due to planets limited tactical and logistical slots. I think base structures should have some kind of defence be it flak or auto cannons. Or maybe system ships {moo3 idea} and one more thing a void for space between jump lanes for fleet battles only

The idea is to make the AI pirates more threatening to all three races. 1. They can colonize and mine and expand. 2. Have a ship able to capture any of three races and once captured have access to all of that race's tech and ships and planet defense. What do think? Just an idea.

This convert data exe must be used for the game to read the mod? I'm new at this and never played with dos. Is there a window base program that can do the same thing?
Can you change the mod folder game path The game tells me the mod folder is in C: document and setting/user/local setting/application data/ironclad games/sin of a solar empire/mods. my computer has it in C: document and setting/user/application data/ironclad games/sin of a solar empire. No local setting folder and when I look in that sin folder there is no mod folder.
Can you change ships and planet files?
