You are completely missing the point of a beta test.
It was mentioned earlier in this thread, but it bears repeating: Direct2Drive is having a massive sale. Lots of quality games, including Company of Heroes (with expansion), for only $5. http://www.direct2drive.com/d2dturns5 If you like RTS games at all, you really ought to jump on that deal for CoH. $5 for one of the best (if not the best) strategy games out there is an absolute steal. Actually, I'd recommend World in Conflict as well.

Personally, I've found Dell laptops to be pretty damn reliable. I've had this Inspiron for about 8 years without incident. Family and friends with Dell laptops haven't had any major issues either, as far as I know. Either way, you should do some research before making a decision. I can only to speak to my own experience. For all I know, we've just been lucky with Dell laptops (and extremely unlucky with other brands. yikes.)
