ScourgeOfGod
Second theory: They are running from failed communism...and...it...keeps...getting...CLOSER!
An epic war indeed. Stay strong TEC. Stay strong. :) I was a part of the fourth beta and I'm frankly amazed at how much better the AI are compared to Beta 4. Major kudos there Stardock/Ironclad! For Humanity. For Profit. For the Trade Emergency Coalition.
I've got it. The final definitive answer which covers all the evidence. The Vasari are running from....THEMSELVES! (dun-duh-DUUUUN!) Here's how it would work. The Vasari Dark Fleet in the future comes back in time and begins destroying the Vasari empire and they can do it easiely because of more advanced technology. So this group that breaks off learns the truth sometime after the current events in Sins and decides the only way to avoid their fate...is to go back in time and de
Mankind would be the simplest for a human to understand compared with any alien race (or radicly evolved human-esque group). In absolute terms, no humans aren't simple for other humans to understand. In relative terms to other species though, we're a piece of cake. But yea I'd start with the TEC and then go on from there.
Hurray! SD/IC hasn't gotten scorn from my favorite webcomic!
Awesome Job Stardock and Ironclad! I'm guessing that if this keeps up we're basically assured at least an expansion (and Blair won't have to put out the story on a blog from his mom's basement. ).
Thx Kyro its working now. Now all I have to do is wait for it to finish installing, at the rate its going I'm going to be up awhile. Yay no morning classes! :)
It says I need "adminstrator access rights" to unistall Sins Beta 4. What does this mean and how do I get around it?
I need help installing Sins of a Solar Empire. Here's my problem. I pre-ordered the Beta and I'm downloading it from SDC but I've hit a snag. When I started downloading it it was going alright but I had to go to work before it finished, I just left it running hoping for it to be fully downloaded when I got back. But my laptop went into powersave mode after a while (it was sometime after the game had downloaded to 80% because that's were I left it when I went to work) thus closing out SDC. When I
Can we assume the Ishendi's story is canon now? But the main thing I noticed...the Novalith can hit any planet in a system?! Kick ass!
There are "heavy-grav" and "low-grav" planets (aka planets with dense cores and porous cores). Those things can happen in any habitable planet and make grav wells larger or smaller.
Don't buy it until the expansion. Sins of a Solar Empire: Rise of the Space Ponies just kidding, if you like space+RTS BUY IT.
Basically your saying that we'd settle stars like we do planets and stars would be in galaxies like how planets are in stars, right? Well I can think of one minor problem with that, our galaxy, the Milky Way, is relatively small...and has 100 billion stars. Maybe you could have 100 stars in a galaxy under your system, but that would seem pathetically small for anyone who knows anything about astronomy. While I'd say the number of habitable planets circling stars is almost certainly wild
It won't be long until the game is released and I can finally find out what your cryptic hints about the Advent actually mean!
and super-smash bros
You may like to start the AI on 'easy defensive' then as you improve your skills move him up to 'hard aggressive'.
"easy defensive?" "hard aggressive?" Looks like the comp's behavior will be more controlable in the final. :)
I definitely have. I'm not sure if this is a bug that will be fixed or an intentional part of the game, but I have seen culture move into star systems where I didn't even have any planets much less broadcast centers! It wasn't easy and took a lot of BCs in other systems (and the crushing of the local culture), but it happened. P.S.: This is Beta 4 I'm talking about, its the only Beta I've played.
I'm bringing doughnuts!...and all the hot women who hang around all the time. :HOT:
However, such a computer virus would only make logical sense working against other TEC ships (or Vasari on Vasari/Advent on Advent). The reason is that the computer operating systems and programming language is going to be different with different species. The idea from Independence Day that you can hack into an alien computer is totally bogus only a fundemental level. I suppose since that movie did it so could Sins, but for anyone who realizes that the virus plan would never work would k
Or space ponies angry at not being included in the game.
The plot twist is after kosc's incompetence dooms the Multi-kosc team but right before their last planet dies...Blair Fraiser will arrive...with one lvl 10 Sova...
A Dunoz and Kol/Marza combo is one of my favorites. My second favorite combo is the Marza-Sova combo. The Sova covers the Marza from bomber strikes (and produces some of its own) while the Marza obliterates anything in its path. :)
I've seen worse. Kastronida is a Kel Thuzad-level necromancer but you have to raise a thread from at least a year of death to equal Lich King-level dead raising skillz.
I haven't tried this yet, but in theory I see no reason why it couldn't work. Couldn't you use the z-axis command (holding down the ~ key right?) to go above or below gauss cannons/missle batteries? That could make the z-axis rather useful with planet assualts (against poorly positioned cannons/batteries anyways).
